People stops here for a must taken pictures, from young to old, from locals to visitors. Made of wood and inspired by a Torii gate, this city attraction made me wonder: After crossing the gate, will I be in a sacred place? Is that place a journey? Is it life itself sacred? Or is it on the other side of the coin, arriving and entering the city is sacred?" I did noticed a lot of temples in this city, a lot of Onsens and a pretty castle, so I cannot really tell which side of the idea is correct, but in any case both ideas are beautiful in my mind. #japan #kanazawa #toriigate #tripblazers

#tokyo #Shrine #attraction #toriigate Everyone is aware of these red torii gates, it's a special iconic design here in Ukiha Inari Shrine located at 1513-9 Ukihanmachi Nagrekawa, Ukiha in Japan where the only way to access this Shrine via walking is via a long steps through this torii gates. This may not be one of the many popular place with people therefore making this a photogenic spot on top of a hill down to the valley, but if you are someone who doesn't really like to climb you are also able to drive up by car. Most people come to this Shrine to hope and pray for a prosperous business, good health, and scholarship.

To get there, either take the lake Ashi Pirate Ship cruise from Togendai-ko to Hakone macho-ko or Hakone Tozan Bus directly to Hakone machi-ko. This shrine is a 10 mins walk from the pier/bus station. A gentle slope plus some steps. Normally on weekends or public holidays, expect a crowd and everyone will patiently queue for they turn to take photos. During my trip, there 2 big group of tourists who were trying to take multiple angles and repeated shots of the same angle with different poses 🤦🏻‍♂️ not nice, finally the whole queue voiced their dissatisfaction as there is no temple staff to keep the queue moving. After a short ferry ride we encounter these adorable deer strolling around Miyajima Island, featuring the Itsukushima Shrine and O Torri Gate.

This shrine is pretty small but the location is at the seaside and the torii gate is at the seaside so it is kind of unique. Due to its unique location, this place is not so convenient to reach and therefore this is less touristy.
