The Japanese and French Courts at the Royal Botanical Garden showed the significant effort it took to manicure the landscape. But I was particularly keen to see the Sub-Antarctic Plant House, possibly the only such display in all of Australia, if not the world. The maintained a subzero temperature. We saw mostly green, low-laying growth, at the most some short shrubs. There were not too many species of floral on display, and it was not surprising to us. We enjoyed the greenhouse very much. We then visited the conservatory with an amazing display of orchids. I visited Greenhouse once many years ago and had a good impression of it. I didn't expect to visit it again after such a long time. When I visited in October, I used Openrice to make a reservation and got a 20% discount on a la carte items. You can keep an eye out for it. The coconut green curry with mussels and clams ($168) was still spicier than expected, even though we requested it to be less spicy. Crispy toast goes perfectly with curry sauce. The stir-fried kale sprouts ($88) were just the right amount of firmness and the salty aroma of the Parma ham enhanced the flavor. The grilled lobster and wagyu diaphragm ($428) was well presented. The wagyu diaphragm was disappointingly small in portion and a bit tough. The grilled lobster is already fleshy, making it very convenient to eat, and the meat tastes delicious. The crispy fried salmon with scallion oil noodles ($198) that was added later was the best dish of the whole night. The salmon was fried crispy and cooked just right without being too dry. In the Botanical Garden they have a greenhouse section that houses both tropical and arid plant species. My favourite was Tropical house 1 (as shown in the video). Honestly, the humid hotness was a define escape for the cooling weather and brought me right back to the himid weather of Shanghai in summer.
