The Cascade Complex is home to the Kafeghian Art Center, a well-known Armenian art center, located in the capital city of Yerevan. Known as “The Cascade,” the building was designed by architect Alexander Tamanyan. Tamanyan wanted to connect the northern and central parts of the city, the city’s historic residential and cultural centers. It has become everyone's favorite not just because of its expensive high end artworks, but also because of the breathtaking view of Yerevan from the top, with Mount Ararat looming behind Yerevan's iconic pink buildings. Zvartnots International Airport is located near Zvartnots, about 15 km west of the capital city of Armenia - Yerevan. The airport was first opened in 1961. In 2011 a new modern departures and arrivals terminal, car-parking with a capacity of 600 vehicles and a government delegation terminal (VIP terminal) were opened. According to different sources about $160 million have been invested in Zvartnots’s reconstruction. The newly built terminal have the capacity to process up to 3.5 million passengers every year. Zvartnots International Airport is the main international airport of Armenia and Yerevan's main international transport hub. In this post I want to tell you a little bit about the old terminal building of the Airport. it was built in the 1970s. The old terminal is the circular terminal. The parking area used to be underneath the bridge serving the Departures. The Arrivals hall was on the lowest floor, it was small and rather narrow. Once, it was the height of luxury with a restaurant high up on the central control tower and views across to the Armenian capital Yerevan. more than 2,500 passengers crowded through the country's most modern airport terminal every hour. Incourt Tennis Club is a tennis 🎾 club in Yerevan where I was playing at least for twice a week. Highly recommending to give it a try whether you want to have some fun with friends or family or if you want to have a professional trainer and learn how to actually play tennis. Incourt Tennis Club is the place where you can do both! The best thing about this place is that there is also a gym and a swimming pool, as well as a cafe where you can enjoy coffee or a cold milkshake on a hot sunny day. Another thing what I really liked about this place is the location - it is literally located next to the Dalma Garden Mall where you can do a lot of things starting from shopping all the way to having a nice dinner after playing tennis. Holy Mother of God Church, Nork-Marash was destroyed by the disastrous earthquake of 1679 but then it was restored, in 1930s the church became, the victim of the religion-persecuting policy of USSR. even though the couch was ruined a lot of people from all over Armenia were still visiting it. After Armenia declared independence in 1991 residents of Nork district started the reconstruction of the church. In 1995 reconstruction was completed and since then the church is open for visitors. I especially love this church because our family house is located not far from the church and I was visiting it with my family quite often when I was a child.
