They have many traditional art pieces to all forms of art on 4 different levels. There was this one section that gave off a very eerie vibes and I even got goosebumps there! I didn’t know how big the gallery was and was too tired by the time I found out there was a whole other side! They also have a cafe that sells some really good ice cream sandwich I think. #cny2024 With a new year comes a new Light to Night festival version 2024. Unlike last year, I was able to visit the indoor showcases part of the festival and ongoing exhibitions inside the National Gallery. If there’s one place in Singapore I’ll never get tired off, it will be the National Gallery. The amount of times I’ve visited the gallery is still not enough honestly. We visited the festival on a Sunday, hoping to take part in the free civic building tour but I got the dates mixed up so no tour for us. The free tours along with other programs are also part of the festival with their respective specific schedules. The indoor light displays and showcases were amazing. I loved the human silhouette in motion in the middle of the gallery or at the atrium. Some of the exhibitions we visited inside the gallery are the art of South-east Asia, a tropical exhibition with live birds, and the light display at the Rotunda with an emotional reunion-themed showcase. The outdoor light displays did not disappoint. I loved the music for the light display at the facade of National Gallery, it’s different from before, engaging. I feel like the stories projected were much clearer. The clam-like installation at the field weren’t really a showstopper. I also loved that there’s still a cat-themed projection this year. Light to Night Festival is an annual event in Singapore that showcases art and exhibitions from varied disciplines of art including interactive programs and installations. A favorite showcase that I always look forward to is the light projections or illuminations scattered across the civic district. Since the festival is organised by the National Gallery Singapore, the gallery usually offers free entry on weekends with extended opening hours. We went on a Wednesday night to avoid the weekend crowd. Our first agenda was to sit at the Padang and watch the illumination on the National Gallery itself. We spent a bit of time here since we didn't get to watch the start. Lots of people also bring their mats to chill around here. Every time I watch this, I get reminded of how I would want to have this festival back in my home country also. We then went to the “bubbles” installation and took way too many photos there. The installation worked well with Marina Bay Sands and National Gallery as its backdrops in photos. Another projection we always enjoy is at the Victoria Building since the façade shape is different than usual because of the tower in the middle. This is one of the festivals I'm always looking forward. Expect me to be there again next year. When going there though, consider going on weekdays as there’s fewer people going around. The National Gallery Singapore has both free and ticketed zones to visit various art works. There are rotating exhibitions. In the free zone, you can visit the architecture inside the building, including some exhibition rooms (on the day we went, about 4 rooms were open, which was sooo worth it). The interior is very beautiful, especially the highlights such as the central hall with long stairs on both sides, or the 3rd floor, which is a dome in the building where we can take pictures (it was closed on the day we went🥲). Or you can go in and see the different art works in each room. It was so much fun to look at. Attraction name: The National Art Gallery Location: Trafalgar Square in London The National Gallery is an absolutely quality exhibition of artwork in the centre of London. If you book online, you can go for FREE. They also accept walk ins but you might have to queue. The gallery consists of thousands of brilliant artwork and sculptures to enjoy. You CAN photograph them and study the details the artists put in. It is located near Big Ben so you don’t need to go out of the centre of London. People who like sophisticated arts and paintings should head to the national gallery located at trafalgar Square at London WC2N 5DN, United Kingdom. The gallery opens on a daily basis from 10am till 6pm and best of it all, free entrance! The national gallery is in a marble like building with a huge arch and thick pillars making this look like some high end gallery, but inside you will be able to see many art pieces and paintings. At first, I planned to spend an hour here, but because of its grandeur, I ended up spending more than half a day here. I also didn't get to see everything. If you are an art lover with a nice atmosphere, I highly recommend you come here. There are 5 floors here, divided into the City Hall wing and the Supreme Court wing. There are zones for displaying pictures, both paintings and photographs, and zones for displaying various art works. There are staffs to provide services in every zone. There are workshops for children, a coffee shop, and souvenir shops where you can buy a variety of things. #singapore #nationalgallery #museum

National Museum Of Singapore located at 1 St Andrew's Road(near dhoby ghuat) is show casing a permanent exhibition of the past in Singapore. The exhibition tells you a story of how Singapore was even before the war in 1942. From how piracy was a serious problem in the waters around Singapore, how the pirates launched attacks on cargos or even murdered or sold the crews to slavery and even to the men who built the town where colonial administrator transported convicts from India to Singapore and how a free port to destroy the spell of the Dutch monopoly(1819-1867) and even items from the past on how the olden days where people uses tools for cooking, for war, for fishing. The National Gallery was absolutely crowded in spite of it being a weekday and honestly with all these priceless paintings made available for the public’s viewing pleasure completely free-of-charge I can completely understand why. Since I first visited the UK all those years ago, I’ve been fascinated by the story of Lady Jane Grey and this might just be the first time I’ve seen this iconic painting depicting her in the moments leading up to her execution. A temporary exhibition at the National Gallery in London. It was extremely popular and was 人山人海. The only time I've ever had to queue up to see a painting. I still enjoyed the exhibition, and it was made a whole lot better with the audio guide.
