A day in Sibenik 😍
#summerdestinations
I had an amazing day exploring Šibenik, Croatia, and it was a perfect mix of history and coastal charm! My first stop was the stunning St. James’s Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The €6 entrance fee was well worth it for the intricate stonework and impressive architecture.
After wandering the cathedral, I strolled through the medieval streets of the old town, discovering quaint cafes and local shops. A highlight was the beautiful views from the Fortress of St. Michael, which had a €5 entrance fee and offered panoramic vistas of the city and the Adriatic Sea.
I also enjoyed a relaxing afternoon at the nearby Banj Beach, which is free and has clear waters perfect for a swim. Šibenik’s blend of historical sites and scenic beauty made it a fantastic day trip! 🌊🏰 #trip #Šibenik #CroatianCoast #HistoricSites #MediterraneanViews #DayTrip
Qaitbay Fort 🗺️
#summerdestinations
Exploring Qaitbay Fort in Alexandria was a highlight of my summer vacation in Egypt. Situated on the Mediterranean coast, the entrance fee is around 60 EGP (about $2), making it very affordable. The fort, built in the 15th century on the site of the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria, offers breathtaking views of the sea and the city.
Walking through the well-preserved walls and towers was like stepping back in time. The history and architecture are fascinating, and the sea breeze made the visit even more enjoyable.
Nearby, I strolled along the Corniche and visited the Alexandria Library. Qaitbay Fort is a must-see for history enthusiasts and anyone wanting a stunning coastal view. 🏰🌊
