Over the weekend, we took a delightful trip to Malacca with the kiddos. One of the highlights was our night-time visit to the lively Jonker Street, where we wandered through the colorful stalls filled with local treats, souvenirs, and music. We had dinner at one of the Baba Nyonya restaurant called : Kocik Heritage Nyonya Restaurant. Food was good ! My local Malaccan friend bought me there for dinner, it was truly a delightful experience! Thei dishes were delectable, bursting with aromatic spices, special ingredients and vibrant presentation that truly impressed us. ⏩My favourite dishes: Wild Coriander Special Nasi Lemak Beef/Chicken Rendang, Pie Tee, Sambal Eggplant, Onion Shrimp Omelette, Avocado Gula Melaka Smoothie and Cendol Gula Melakal. ⏩ Nice ambience beautifully furnished with exotic Peranakan antiques and colourful mural & painting. The service is attentive and superb! What a treat! While personally I am not a fan of coriander (cilantro), Wild Coriander in Melaka certainly has me considering otherwise! There is a fantastic energy about this place from the moment you are greeted at the door to the time you say goodbye. The staff are all incredibly friendly and make you feel at home! I was dining alone, and there separate staff members came over to say hello and ask me how I was enjoying Melaka. The interior of the restaurant is outstanding. With foliage inside this historic building that adds so much character and intrigue. The decor is really beautiful and it is certainly instagramable 😅 The menu here is excellent, with a wide range of Nyonya cuisine to choose from, including vegetarian 🌱 They have an extensive drinks menu and for those with a sweet tooth, a good selection of desserts to choose from.
