London🇬🇧A Taste of Japan in London – Uoichi Delivers with Heart and Flavour🇯🇵🍣
Tucked away in the quiet Docklands, Uoichi is a true gem for anyone craving authentic Japanese flavors in London. I had the pleasure of trying a variety of dishes here, and every plate delivered both in taste and presentation.
Monkfish Liver
A rare find in London and done exceptionally well here. It had that perfect melt-in-the-mouth texture with just the right balance of umami. If you’re into adventurous Japanese cuisine, this is a must.
Bara Chirashi Don🍱
Fresh, vibrant, and generous. The sashimi cubes were delicately seasoned and beautifully arranged over well-prepared sushi rice. Each bite offered a mix of textures and flavors. Easily one of the highlights of the meal.
Deep Fried Chicken✨
Juicy, crisp, and well-marinated, it came out piping hot, and the batter was light but still crunchy. Great with a squeeze of lemon or dipped in mayo.
Grilled Salmon🔥
Simple, clean, and expertly cooked. The skin was crisp, while the flesh remained moist and tender. It let the quality of the fish speak for itself.
Salmon Roe with Cream Cheese🧀
An indulgent, creamy-salty bite that worked surprisingly well. The burst of the roe against the richness of the cream cheese created an interesting balance. A great fusion-style treat.
Overall, Uoichi stands out not just for its quality but for the care put into every dish. Prices are fair for the quality, and the staff are polite and attentive. Highly recommended for Japanese food lovers looking for something beyond the usual fare.

London🇬🇧Hidden Gems in Church at London🍣🍱
If you’re a true foodie in London, Mercato Mayfair is probably already on your list — and if it’s not, it should be. Housed inside a beautifully restored deconsecrated church, Mercato Mayfair is a one-of-a-kind culinary sanctuary where heritage architecture meets global flavors. Think stained glass windows, soaring ceilings, and gourmet food from all corners of the world — all under one roof.
Tucked away in this grand setting is a true hidden gem: Tonari, a sushi bar that feels like a secret whispered among insiders.
🍣 Fresh sashimi, perfectly seasoned rice, rich umami — Tonari crafts their dishes with artistry and precision. Their salmon is as visually stunning as it is delicious, served in a beautifully lacquered bowl that’s a nod to Japanese tradition.
Whether you’re popping in for a quick bite or planning a full-on foodie pilgrimage, Tonari at Mercato Mayfair is that perfect fusion of soul, style, and serious sushi craftsmanship.

London🇬🇧Hidden London: Walking Through History at Greenwich Riverside & Foot Tunnel
A Peaceful Riverside Walk & Hidden Tunnel Gem in Greenwich 🌊
If you’re in London and want a scenic escape with a touch of history, the Greenwich Riverside Walk and the Greenwich Foot Tunnel are a perfect combo. Starting from the historic Cutty Sark, stroll along the River Thames with stunning views of Canary Wharf, riverside pubs, street performers, and green spaces.
As you walk further, you’ll reach the south entrance of the Greenwich Foot Tunnel — a fascinating 1902-built pedestrian tunnel under the Thames that connects Greenwich to the Isle of Dogs. It’s an atmospheric walk through time, with tiled walls and echoes of the past.
Perfect for photographers, casual walkers, or anyone looking to explore a quieter side of London with history around every corner.

London🇬🇧404 Bakery – Where Cakes Meet Perfection
Tucked away in a cozy corner of London, 404 Bakery is a hidden gem that delivers on both taste and aesthetic. I sampled three desserts and their signature drink, and each left a lasting impression.
🍵 Aoarashi Matcha Basque Cheesecake
Rich, creamy, and deeply infused with matcha. The balance is spot-on — earthy but not bitter, sweet but not overpowering. It’s got that slightly molten center that makes Basque cheesecake so irresistible. A must for any matcha lover.
🍫 Hukambi 53% Chocolate Strawberry Shortcake
Decadent yet not heavy. The cake was moist and fudgy, with a smooth, intense chocolate flavor — clearly made with premium cocoa. The strawberries added a lovely, fresh contrast.
🍫 Lisbon Chocolate Cake
Elegant and rich, this cake has a deep cocoa flavor with a smooth, dense texture. It’s not overly sweet, letting the chocolate take center stage. A great pick if you’re after something indulgent but refined.
☕ 404 Hot Chocolate Blend
An absolute standout. Made with Valrhona chocolate, this hot chocolate is luxuriously rich and velvety — everything a proper hot chocolate should be. Perfect for a chilly London afternoon.
The interior is clean, cozy, and thoughtfully designed with minimalist touches and vintage flair. Friendly service, a clear and elegant menu, and beautifully decorated cakes make the whole experience feel curated and welcoming.
If you're a dessert lover — or just in the mood for a great hot drink — 404 Bakery is well worth a visit.

London🇬🇧Calling All Chocolate Lovers in Soho!🍫☕️
Tucked away in the heart of London’s Soho is a chocolate lover’s dream: Italian Bear Chocolate.
This cup isn’t your average hot chocolate—it’s thick, silky, and decadently rich, almost like drinking a warm chocolate. The drinks are as dense as sesame seeds🍫🔥
Whether you’re a dessert expert or just looking for your next cozy place, this is a spot worth bookmarking and revisiting.

London🇬🇧Greenwich Gem: Perfect Fish & Chips at River Garden Cafe!☕️
I recent visited to the River Garden Cafe in Greenwich was an absolute delight, offering a fantastic mix of classic comfort and exciting new flavors!🌊
The traditional Fish & Chips was an absolute standout – perfectly battered, wonderfully crispy, and not at all greasy, with flaky, tender fish and delicious chunky chips. The accompanying garden peas, curry sauce complemented the dish beautifully.🍟
But the culinary journey didn't stop there! I also had the pleasure of trying their fantastic Korean Fried Chicken Burger. Wow, what a flavor explosion! The chicken was incredibly juicy inside, and coated in that signature sweet and spicy Korean glaze. Paired with fresh toppings and a soft bun, it was a truly satisfying and flavorful burger.🍔
And to round off the meal, we indulged in their homemade onion rings. These were a true highlight – perfectly crispy, golden, and packed with sweet onion flavor, clearly made with care.🧅
The cafe itself has a lovely, inviting atmosphere. The riverside location offers fantastic views, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal. The service was friendly and efficient, adding to the overall positive experience.

Royal Botanic Gardens – London’s Autumn Masterpiece
#cityplaybook
There’s something deeply poetic about autumn at Kew Gardens. As the leaves turn to fire and gold, London begins to slow down, and this world-famous garden becomes a sanctuary of reflection and natural beauty. My visit to Kew Royal Botanic Gardens in late October was like walking through a living canvas—vibrant, crisp, and soul-soothing.
The trees were the stars of the show. I started my stroll beneath the towering oaks and sweet gums near the Treetop Walkway, where I could look out over a sea of amber and rust-colored leaves. As I descended, the crunch of leaves underfoot and the soft chill in the air created a sense of grounding I hadn’t realized I needed.
What moved me most was the Japanese Landscape Garden, where the acer trees were ablaze in red. It was quiet there—people speaking in hushed tones, cameras snapping gently, children marveling at falling leaves. In that moment, I felt completely present. The stillness, the scent of earth and woodsmoke, the elegance of seasonal change—it all left a lasting impression.
The Temperate House, with its exotic palms and warm air, made the perfect contrast to the brisk weather outside. And I’ll never forget the Lake, reflecting the foliage like a mirror, dotted with ducks and framed by willows swaying gently in the wind.
Best time to visit? Mid-October to early November is ideal for peak color. Visit early in the day for soft morning light and fewer crowds.
Helpful tips: Kew Gardens is easily accessible from Kew Gardens Station (District Line). Wear sturdy shoes—it’s vast! There are cafés dotted throughout, but I recommend packing a thermos of tea and finding a bench by the Palm House Pond for a peaceful break.

LIVING MY
LIVING MY BEST LIFE IN KENSINGTON, LONDON 💕🇬🇧
From the charming streets to the luxurious vibes, Kensington gave me everything I didn’t know I needed.
Every corner felt like a scene from a romantic film, elegant buildings, lush parks, stylish boutiques, and cozy cafés.
The energy here? Pure class with a hint of mystery.
Whether I was strolling past historic landmarks or sipping spicy margaritas at the hotel bar, it felt like I was walking in a dream, one that smelled like designer perfume and tasted like a perfect dinner for one (or two 😉).
Can we also take a moment for The Bailey’s Hotel London Kensington?
Flawless stay.
Beautiful room.
Delicious dinner.
And Ishan, the bar man, mixed a mean margarita I won’t forget anytime soon.
Would I return? Absolutely.
Kensington, you now have a piece of my heart.

London’s
London’s brand new spot 👀
AD-INVITE | @engel.london and @jang.london are a bar and restaurant located in the Royal Exchange in Bank. They’ve been open about two weeks and are a gorgeous place to stop for lunch or dinner. We had:
- Spicy Miso black cod (£42)
- Vegetable and tofu nimono (£24)
- Sushi (£24)
- Fruit punch (£11)
- Korean doughnut (£10)
This is elevated Korean food so you won’t see a lot of the standard Korean dishes on this compact menu. There is something for everyone; the black cod was lovely and the fruit punch was refreshing. The sushi was really tasty too! I’d come back to try the KFC for sure 👀
Location: Bank
Price: £££
Requirements: no halal options, some vegetarian options
