The B&B is housed in a stunning 17th-century monastery, with beautifully preserved wall and ceiling sculptures that left us in awe. We adored our cozy loft-style room, which added to the experience. The owner was incredibly helpful and full of humor—when we realized Italy uses different plugs from other European countries, he kindly lent us adaptors from his kitchen. He even provided a detailed map, marked with recommended restaurants and must-see attractions. Breakfast was a highlight, served buffet-style at a large communal table, and we were lucky to visit during peach season, enjoying a variety of sweet and juicy peaches.

We loved strolling through the peaceful streets, stopping for lunch and dinner at cozy Italian restaurants, and of course, enjoying plenty of gelato. First time around Lake Como and I completely fell in love! We stayed at the Palace Hotel at Lake Como and it was one of the best places I’ve ever stayed at. The interior is beautiful just like it’s name and the breakfast spread is scrumptious 😋 The ferry dock is right across the doors of the hotel, which was extra convenient for our day trip around the towns. We took the slow ferry ride and sat outside despite the cold. But the views of other towns and even the alps and mountains were breathtaking. Headed to the very beautiful very scenic Bellagio - where we climbed up the steps and had a hearty meal at Nando. Afterwards took a quick ride to Varenna to catch the sunset. Absolutely wonderful! Lake Como is such a beautiful place. It is near the border ith Switzerland, very close, like 20-30 km. It is also near Milan, like 70 km. Very nice spot for a vacation. It is so peaceful. You can also spot houses owned by Holywood super stars. The lake is quite big and you can rent boats or you can drive on the road that surrounds the lake. COMO Metropolitan Singapore is a beautiful modern contemporary hotel that has been added into Singapore. The hotel has a nice huge LED screen near the lobby at L6 and you will be greeted with an automated robot coffee place. The rooms were spacious with large bathrooms featuring a rainshower. There is a simple kitchen with microwave and a comfy lounge chair that I could fell asleep by lazing in it. The hotel also provided passionfruit and snacks which were yummy! The hotel infinity pool has got to be the highlight with an overview of Orchard and look through glass pool. The location of the hotel is next to Paragon and opposite Takashimaya. Somerset MRT is close by. The Carlton City hotel has got to be the best value hotel in Singapore for business and leisure travellers! It boasts a sizeable room of 30+ sqm and you get a decent sized bathroom with separate shower and bathtub. The bed is comfortable. Also, the hotel is situated in the heart of Tanjong Pagar where it is close to the MRT and food street where you can find Korean BBQs, ice cream, good local food and lots more!
