Honestly spent 3 hours at Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan — it was just too pretty! Each enclosure came with a backstory and fun facts, which made the whole experience even more interesting. If you ask me, this place is a must-visit when you’re in Osaka. The layout takes you on a spiral journey down multiple floors, starting from the top and slowly circling around a massive central tank featuring their famous whale shark. Other highlights: super cute seals, glowing jellyfish and playful otters! It’s spacious, clean, and very well-maintained — suitable for couples, families, or solo explorers. Also fully indoor, so it’s a great rainy day activity. We got our tickets on Trip.com to skip the queue. Forget the big polluting cruise ships, they will soon be banned from entering the fjords anyway. Take the Hurtigruten or the Havila ferries and cruise along the amazing Norvegian coast, from Kirkenes to Bergen. The southbound journey is not only cheaper but also quieter as people usually go from Bergen to Kirkenes. I highly recommend taking the smallest of the ferries, the Vesteralen, for a better experience as bigger ships tend to be more impersonal. Mid-May is for me the best time because you can see the midnight sun and it is before the start of the tourism season. Do take warm clothes though, it is still winter above the Polar Circle. Pasar Dongko is a tourist attraction and traditional market in Bogor. In this place, many people sells something like vegetables or other things that they grow themselves, and make it to Sundanese Dishes. #springitinerary Visiting Fuji-Q Highland was one of those days that was equal parts thrilling and jaw-dropping. Nestled at the foot of Mount Fuji, this amusement park offers an insane variety of rides, all set against one of the most stunning views you could ever imagine. We had no idea what to expect, but the day turned out to be packed with adrenaline, fun, and a little bit of awe. The first thing that stood out was the variety of roller coasters. If you’re a coaster lover, Fuji-Q is a dream come true. Fujiyama, once the tallest coaster in the world, was the perfect start to our adventure. The climb up is almost as exciting as the drop itself—once you get to the top, the view of Mount Fuji in the distance takes your breath away before you race down at high speeds. It’s an experience I can’t really describe other than thrilling and humbling at the same time. Next up was Takabisha, which holds the record for the world’s steepest drop at a heart-stopping 121 degrees. I’ve never experienced anything quite like it—after the steep climb, the drop just comes at you like a wave, and I swear I left my stomach behind somewhere! If you’re looking for something intense, this ride is not to be missed. For the truly daring, Eejanaika was a game changer. Imagine being strapped into a coaster that flips you upside down multiple times while also spinning you in different directions. It felt like being tossed around in every direction possible, and honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever felt more alive after getting off that ride. It’s not for the faint-hearted, but if you’re into extreme roller coasters, this one’s a must. But Fuji-Q isn’t just about the crazy coasters. There’s a good mix of attractions for families and those who want a more laid-back experience. Thomas Land, for example, was an adorable escape into the world of Thomas the Tank Engine. It’s perfect if you’re visiting with little ones. The rides are gentle, but the whole area feels like stepping into the show. We spent some time wandering through the quaint, colorful spaces—it's an unexpected, charming contrast to the intense rides elsewhere. Another gem was the Shining Flower Ferris Wheel. After all the adrenaline, we decided to take a break and enjoy a slower pace. From the top of the Ferris wheel, we got the best panoramic views of Fuji-Q, the surrounding landscape, and of course, Mount Fuji itself. It was so peaceful up there, just watching everything unfold from above. If you're in the mood for something a bit different, Fuji-Q also offers experiences like the VR flight over Mount Fuji at Fuji Airways. It’s a quick escape into the skies, giving you a unique perspective of Japan’s iconic mountain. It’s a fun way to “fly” if you’re not quite ready to jump on a plane. All in all, Fuji-Q Highland exceeded expectations. If you’re heading up the Maokong Cable cars you need to check out the ‘lazy day cafe’ when you get to the top. The cafe is tucked away down some stairs that go down into the forest, under the tarpaulins is a super cute cafe. It’s run by an elderly couple who are super friendly and super proud of their store - they do a nice range of coffee, tea and cakes. I got iced coffee and an amazing lemon cheesecake, the coffee came in an adorable cat mug and they were very happy that I enjoyed myself. The cafe is sitting in the Forrest and has no main walls, it’s completely open plan and you just feel like you’re in the trees. The couple are very friendly and want to know where all their visitors are from, they’ll ask to take a photo of you and take some details for their scrap book. If you are in Taipei and you want to check out the museums you need to check out the 228 peace park while you are there, it’s beautiful and it Is free! The National Museum Of Taiwan and the Natural History museum are bases at this park, along with the peace memorial museum - all three can be visited in the same day. The park also has a lot of sculptures, modern art and of course the national peace memorial itself - giving the park it’s name. There are also some pagodas, locomotive engines and an old Japanese Radio tower - left over from the war. All of these little elements give the park such a quirky atmosphere, everywhere you look it’s completely different - there really is something for everyone. I got there for about 7:30 grabbed a coffee and wandered around waiting for the museums to open at 9AM! Get off the metro at Taipei University Hospital station and follow the signs!
