🧣ห้ามพลาด British Museum ลอนดอน!!
For those who love history, art, and antiques from around the world, you must not miss the British Museum in London! It collects valuable items from various civilizations, such as Egyptian mummies, the Rosetta Stone used to decipher ancient letters, or Greek-Roman sculptures. Each piece is full of fascinating stories that you can't stop looking at.
What impressed me the most was the organized display, easy to walk around, and detailed explanations in both English and other languages, making it easy to understand the origins of each piece. Even those who are not into history will still have fun because this place is not just about looking at antiques, but also about traveling through time without having to use a time machine.
Most importantly... it's free! Yes, it's really free. And you should allow at least half a day to a full day because there's so much to see. If you have a chance to come to London, don't forget to stop by here. You'll know that history isn't as boring as you think!

From Mummies to Marble Gods: A Time Travel Experience at London’s British Museum
If you’re heading to London and want to see the world without leaving the city, the British Museum is a must. I spent a fascinating half-day here and was blown away by the sheer scale and diversity of the collection—from ancient Egypt to Imperial China, Greece, Mesopotamia, and beyond.
🌍 What Not to Miss:
- The Rosetta Stone: One of the most famous objects in the museum—and for good reason. It’s the key to understanding Egyptian hieroglyphs. Head there early before the crowds build up.
- Egyptian Mummies: It's both eerie and fascinating to see mummies that are thousands of years old. This section is usually busy but absolutely worth it.
- The Parthenon Sculptures: The detail in these ancient Greek marbles is breathtaking. You can walk around them and get a real sense of history.
- Assyrian Lion Hunt Reliefs This was my favorite! Dramatic and powerful scenes carved into giant stone walls—less crowded and truly impressive.
- Asian Galleries: Peaceful, beautiful, and often quieter. The Chinese ceramics and jade collection are stunning.
💡Useful Tips for Your Visit:
- Entry is free, but consider booking a free timed ticket on their official website during peak travel seasons to skip queues.
- When to go: Weekday mornings are usually quieter. Avoid weekends if possible—some rooms can get very busy.
- How much time? You can easily spend 2–3 hours here, but if you're a history buff, budget at least half a day.
- Free tours & apps: The museum offers guided tours, but I recommend downloading the British Museum app—great for navigating and getting extra info on key exhibits.
- Food break: There's a central café in the Great Court, but I preferred walking out for lunch in nearby Bloomsbury—lots of cute local spots just 5 minutes away.
- Don’t skip the gift shop: It's one of the best museum shops I’ve seen, filled with quality books, unique souvenirs, and art prints.
What surprised me most wasn’t just the scale of the collection, but how connected it made me feel to the world. This museum doesn’t just show objects—it tells stories, and reminds you that our history is shared, even across continents and centuries.
🏛️ Whether you’re a history lover or just looking to do something truly memorable in London, the British Museum is an experience you won’t forget.

💰Average Price per Person: Free
Perfect for anyone who is visiting to London and is even better since it is FREE which makes it extremely accessible to all and can easily take up a whole day and you never know what you will find behind the next wall! I was impressed by how many things they had to look at we spent four hours in the museum and only got to a fourth of the museum and so I will have to take a trip back to finish it up when I can! It is so amazing!
The British Museum:History’s Treasure
If you ever find yourself in 🏴London, make sure to stop by 🏛️The British Museum—it's a history lover’s paradise! The best part? It’s completely free to enter. As soon as you step inside, you’re transported into a world of ancient civilizations, from Greece and Rome to long-lost empires.
My favorite section has to be the Egyptian Gallery. It's absolutely mesmerizing! From well-preserved mummies to priceless artifacts, you get a real sense of the grandeur and complexity of ancient Egyptian civilization. You could easily lose track of time as you explore—every corner is filled with history and wonder!
To get to The British Museum via the London 🚇Underground, take the Central Line (🔴red) to the Holborn Station. From there, it's just a short walk to the museum. Alternatively, you can also take the Piccadilly Line (🔵dark blue) to Russell Square Station, which is a bit closer to the museum entrance. Both routes are convenient and well-signed.

Best of the Best
#museums
Okay may be slight exaggeration but what's there to not like about a world class museum with an extensive collection of artefacts from across the world (and well loots) but mote importantly free to enter in an expensive place like Londres. (Straight off a holiday in Spain). This needs to be appreciated. I am a museum head and I have paid so much towards museums that are far from justified for what they charge a curious audience.
With a blend of history from all across the world. The museums vast collection is well curated and detailed. Artefacts from Ancient Egypt and Greece are captivating. It's a huge museum so you want to allow it time. Do not have 10 other things to do for the day or you'll have to rush. Very few experiences in London offer such value and satisfaction. A personal favourite, do visit and try to avoid the weekends. It gets extra crowded. And visit it on your own. You may not know but the commotion that tour groups tend to be is the reason why they are not allowed in some rooms. And here nothing is to to be missed!

The British Museum 🇬🇧
#londontrip
This summer, I had the incredible experience of visiting The British Museum in London, and it was nothing short of amazing! 🏛️🇬🇧 Located in the heart of the city, the museum offers free entrance, making it accessible to everyone.
The museum's vast collection spans centuries and continents, with highlights including the Rosetta Stone, the Elgin Marbles, and the Egyptian mummies. I spent hours wandering through the galleries, each more fascinating than the last. The Great Court, with its stunning glass roof, is a beautiful spot to take a break and grab a coffee.
One of my favorite sections was the Ancient Egypt exhibit, where I got to see mummies and artifacts that are thousands of years old. The museum also offers free guided tours, which are incredibly informative and a great way to learn more about specific exhibits.
After the museum, I explored the nearby Bloomsbury area, which is filled with charming cafes and bookshops. The British Library is also just a short walk away and worth a visit if you have time.
Overall, The British Museum is a must-see for anyone visiting London. It's a place where history comes to life, and you can easily spend an entire day there. #BritishMuseum #London #HistoryLovers #SummerInLondon #TravelAdventures
Wanna know the History?
First things first, let's talk about the sheer size of this place. It's massive! As you step inside, you'll find yourself surrounded by endless corridors and galleries, each filled with treasures from all corners of the world. Trust me, you could spend days here and still not see everything.
Now, let's get to the star of the show – the exhibits. Brace yourself for some jaw-dropping artifacts that will transport you through time. From the famous Rosetta Stone to the stunning Elgin Marbles, the British Museum houses some truly iconic pieces. It's like stepping into the pages of a history book, only better because you can actually see and touch these ancient wonders.
One of the things I love most about the British Museum is its diverse collection. You can explore everything from Egyptian mummies to Greek sculptures, from ancient Chinese ceramics to African tribal masks. It's a melting pot of cultures, and it's fascinating to see how civilizations have evolved throughout the ages.
Another highlight is the museum's commitment to education. They have interactive displays and multimedia presentations that make learning about history fun and engaging. Whether you're a curious child or an adult with an insatiable thirst for knowledge, there's something for everyone here.
Oh, and did I mention that the entrance to the British Museum is free? Yes, you read that right! So, you can wander through these hallowed halls without spending a penny. It's a fantastic opportunity to soak up all the history and culture without breaking the bank.
Now, I do have to mention that the British Museum can get quite crowded, especially during peak tourist season. So, if you prefer a quieter experience, I recommend visiting early in the morning or later in the day. That way, you can truly appreciate the exhibits without feeling overwhelmed by the crowds.

A great exhibition in British museum, London

A great day at British museum to explore the astonishing culture, treasures, documents, and cloths from late Qing dynasty of China.
it shows hundreds of precious collections from private collectors and authorities, including the robe from emperor, original treaty of Nanjing singed after the 1st Opium war in 1842, and the remarkable embroidery (the 8th picture) which I initially thought it’s a paint.
the show will open until early October and it’s definitely worth a visit!
ticket:£20 / person and book in advance is highly recommended

What to do in 📍London ?
No doubt a lot of people had been to the capital city of England - London🫶🏼
By all means, Twin Towers, London Bridge, The Shard, Big Ben, Buckingham etc. sounds like a common sense.
But then, here are the tips that might help you to organise your trip 💓
You will need 2 days at least to have a glance of every iconic places.
Rent a hotel room nearby by 📍🚇the Aldgate station where all the good and reasonable hotel prices are located (I chose to stay at 📍The Chamberlain, breakfast included and is tasty 😋)
After check-in, leave you backpack and head to the farthest attractions-
You can either take the buses 🚌 or 🚶♂️or 🚇

📍Big Ben - After the renovation from 2017-2022 it finally comes into light. You can now see the whole Big Ben 😍

📍 Walk along the Thames during Sunset
- It’s quite enough for a day, so grab a drink and enjoy the night live next to the Thames 😎🙌

The objects have been widely collected during the era of the British Empire. The museum is easily accessible and you can spend days in there. We really enjoy visiting the Egyptian section and the mummies.

the British museum in London brings history alive
#londontrip #British museum
I have only been to the museum once but it is the place where you could spend hours in as there is so much to look at and on each floors contains artifacts pictures and statues and ornaments and many other things from different countries and from different centuries and so it was wonderful to see real mummies and to see a real temple and also a Japanese old-fashioned house and many other things. it has things from all over the world and it is an amazing place to go but the food and the shop items are very expensive so see if you can buy them online. in the pictures I've shown you many of the things that I liked when I was going around but it does show you the variety of things that are at the museum and it is free to go in but they do encourage donations and what I will say is that I had to wait in an hour and a queue to get in so try and go when the school children are not on holiday or on half term#historicallandmarks #london #museums
