The interior decor is unique. Got that old Hong Kong traditional concept. There’s also miniature prop showcase showing the HK streets with eateries. They are open only from the afternoon and operate till late. 3pm - 10:30pm on weekdays and 2pm - 11:30pm on weekends. They rest on Mondays. The kids don’t like the popular durian mousse so we tried the other popular desserts like the mango based desserts. The entire cafe has a Harry Potter team where furnitures, Wall art, props are all filled from the Harry Potter sequence. They serve food, dessert and drinks where the desserts and drinks are decorated. The drinks are generally like potions where you see smoke coming out of your glass cup or bottle and dessert has cute little designs like bats or frogs from the movie. This place is definitely a kid friendly place where I'm sure they will love it! Price - from $5.90 onwards Rating - 🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱 (good value for money) Continuing our hunt for vegetarian or vegan or plant-based or meat-free cuisine, I cannot forget Greendot. This is the first vegetarian restaurant which made me opened my eyes to good Asian-fusion meat-free food with wallet-friendly prices. While prices have increased over the years since I first tried them in 2014, I still find them reasonably priced today. They have 13 outlets and today we are at the Nex outlet. They also have promotion prices for students and senior citizens during off-peak period which makes it of even better value. Price per pax - $17 (set lunch) Rating - ✅✅✅✅✅ Walked past Pavilion Banana Leaf and there was no queue this time. In fact we will be their first customer for the day as they were about to open for business. We just spontaneously walked in and managed to get a nice table. The restaurant decoration reminded us of the upmarket restaurant we went to in India just outside the Taj Mahal park. Despite a public holiday, their set lunch is available. So we tried the vegetarian options. Love the accompanying sauces and condiments which they are generous with for their Thali set. Also ordered the Palak Paneer briyani/naan set. The palak paneer is really good. Rich and flavourful. We almost wanted to add another serving of naan if not because we are very full. Serving size is good to fill a teenage boy. We paired with masala chai tea and ginger tea. Tasty and authentic. Highly recommend. This place is ideal to host gatherings as they allow groups of 10 to gather for a good meal. We just saw a group with Chinese, Malay and Indians together celebrating a birthday lunch.
