A Day is Not Enough to Explore the Wonders of Angkor Wat
Angkor Wat, the most famous tourist attraction in Cambodia, was originally a Hindu temple dedicated to the god Vishnu, but it has since become a Buddhist temple. Therefore, there is a Buddha Day every week.
On Buddha Day, the third level, the Divine Realm, is not accessible, so please keep this in mind when planning your visit.
Before the 11th century, Angkor Wat was composed of five levels:
1st level: World of Serpents
2nd level: World of Birds
3rd level: World of Humans
4th level: World of Demons
5th level: World of Gods
However, after the 11th century, it was changed to a three-level structure:
1st level: World of Creatures
2nd level: World of Humans
3rd level: Divine Realm

Walking through the temple grounds, I was struck by the intricate carvings and stunning architecture that seemed to glow in the sunlight. The peaceful atmosphere made it the perfect spot to slow down and soak in the rich history and spirituality of the place.
Inside, the golden Buddha statues and colorful murals added to the sense of serenity. It’s a great place to take a break from sightseeing, find a quiet corner, and just enjoy the calm.

Worth it to wake up crack of dawn! Sunrise in Angkor Wat is a must to do🌅
Embark on a magical experience by witnessing the sunrise at Angkor Wat. Setting your alarm early is essential to behold this breathtaking phenomenon. Shrinking Royal Palace of Cambodia
This is a huge complex and beautiful. There’s lots to see so wear comfortable shoes and respectful clothing (covered shoulders, backs, and knees) or you'll be kicked out after paying your entry fee. We just walked across from the hotel where we stay. Palace Gate Hotel was next to Royal palace. If you are not staying around that area, please take a tuktuk tour of the city before going there which I highly suggest. The complex is divided into 3 main compounds. The Silver pagoda, Khemarin Palace and Throne Hall which is still used today for religious & royal ceremonies. I would recommend a tour guy to see the highlights since there’s a lot to see. Informative afternoon of exploring and photo taking. $10USD per person entry, extra $10USD for a guide. One can understand if access were restricted to areas used by the royal family; but entire areas of the gardens were cordoned off. Many other halls in the palace were barred for entry.
Please be mindful the staff are insistent about "no photos inside royal/respectful spaces" and they will jump on you if caught doing a sneaky.
Highlight: The Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Silver Pagoda) is a must see. Be mindful that many of the silver tiles are covered with carpets for protection, but the Emerald Buddha and surrounding display is exquisite.
➡️ Suggestion: Go early (two opening times; one morning and one afternoon) to ensure you have time to wander through it all.
⏱️Opening Hours: 9am-12pm, 2-5pm (Everyday)
📍Address: Samdach Sothearos Blvd (3), Phnom Penh, Cambodia

Another one off my bucket list…Angkor Wat!
We woke up very early to catch the beautiful sunrise at majestic Angkor Wat. Measuring 162.6 hectares, it is the largest religious structure in the world. Originally constructed as a Hindu temple for the Khmer Empire by King Suryavarman II during the 12th century, it was gradually transformed into a Buddhist temple towards the end of the century and now described as a "Hindu-Buddhist" temple. #angkorwat #siemreap #cambodiatrip
[Cambodia] Spectacular views you can't see in Japan! Kompong Phluk, a floating village where you can see life on the water
I had a lot of fun at the floating village I went to in Cambodia!
It's a floating village near Tonle Sap Lake, and you can see the people who live there by boat🙆♀️
The road to get there was also like nature! It felt like another world, and it was really fun👍
There's a counter to buy boat tickets, so you can buy them there and head to the boat
I couldn't do it because the rainy season had just started, but when the water level rises, you can enjoy a mangrove tour, so I recommend going in the rainy season (around autumn in Japan)!
It was a peaceful atmosphere, and there were a lot of crocodiles, which was rare🐊
All the little kids were waving at me, and it was really relaxing
I chartered a tuk-tuk for $25 a day!
It takes about an hour to get there from the city, so if you have time, please go!
There is another nearby water village called Chong Khunia, but the tuk-tuk driver said that it has a strong business feel and some people like it and others dislike it 🙃

It's about 30 minutes from the center of Siem Reap, and it's bigger than I expected, so even if you don't know much about the ruins, you can still enjoy it🙆♀️
I chartered a tuk-tuk for a roundabout route!
The tuk-tuk driver who took me to and from the airport recommended it, so I asked him to do so, and I was able to charter it for $25 to watch the sunrise👍
It was early in the morning, but the atmosphere was great and it became a lifelong memory!
There were other spots that caught my eye, so I'd like to go around some of them next time🥹

[Cambodia] The most popular and best-value grill restaurant in Siem Reap was amazing
This restaurant is so delicious and I highly recommend it!
You can walk from Pub Street, and the restaurant is open-air and has a great atmosphere👍
They mainly serve grilled dishes and have a wide variety, so it's perfect for dinner!
I ordered a steak set, and it was very delicious even though it was reasonably priced🥹
It was so crowded that I wondered if it was full at night, and it seemed very popular🥰
You can eat your fill for about 1,000 to 2,000 yen per person!
There were a lot of things on the menu that I wanted to try, so I'm thinking of going again next time🙆♀️

The prices are reasonable, starting at about $5, and you can eat pasta and pizza, and everything was delicious and filling.
There are staff who can speak Japanese, and the atmosphere was really good.
It's a little far from Pub Street, so you can walk there, but I think it's just a short tuk-tuk ride away.

[Cambodia] If you want to stay in Siem Reap for a good price, this is the place! Luxury hotels with the best value for money
The hotel I stayed at in Cambodia was really great 🥹
It's a stylish hotel about 7km from the Angkor Wat ruins, and within walking distance of the night market and old market!
The entrance is small, but they offer welcome drinks and nuts, and the hospitality is excellent👍
The room is 60 square meters, and it has a bathtub and a terrace, so it was very comfortable
Breakfast is included, and on weekdays you can stay for 10,000 yen for two people, so it's the best value for money🐵
Pub Street is within walking distance, and there are many restaurants nearby.
On the day we went to see the sunrise at Angkor Wat, they also prepared a takeaway breakfast box for us
There are three hotels in the chain, and the tuk-tuk driver knew them, so it seems to be a famous hotel
Recommended for those who want to stay at a slightly luxurious hotel in Cambodia with good value for money🥰

Peaceful in Cambodia
I'm very glad to come here. The people are lovely, honest, nice. I came here in March. It might be a little hot. But I like this peaceful country. Food is easy to buy. Convenient travel I really like the tuk tuks here. Sit back and enjoy the sightseeing breeze and admire their country. Their culture have in common with Thailand. Because we are the closest neighbors. I really like this place. And they use the dollar currency. It is considered very convenient for spending.#trip #cambodiatrip #phnompenh #peaceful
