Japanese Garden in Ecopark Kolkata is small but beautifully designed garden and have a Temple, FushimaInnari Tori gate’s installation and few more attractions. It looks good and gives some Japanese vibes. There is also a restaurant inside which was closed so not sure if it’s a Japanese restaurant and sells Japanese cuisines or not. #passionpassport Huangshan, literally meaning the Yellow Mountain, is a mountain range in southern Anhui Province in eastern China. It was originally called “Yishan”, and it was renamed because of a legend that Emperor Xuanyuan once made alchemy here. We booked a tour and traveled in a group from Shanghai. From Shanghai to Huangshan town it took 4 hours by bus and from there we started our hike to Huangshan. We started hike in afternoon and reach on top where our Hotel was booked in Evening after dinner we slept and started hike again in morning to see sunrise but due to snowfall and rain we couldn’t see sunrise. #passionpassport It’s a close to 1.5 Kms hike to the carved Shiv Lingas. My first ever trip to the Cambodia and this place and was totally worth it even during raining season. It was breathtaking to breath fresh air, enjoy the greenery, smell the woody scent, explore the landscape of mountain and waterfall. Especially it's a historical tourist attraction of our country. When you arrive there, you need to walk another 1.5km to reach the top of the waterfall. Trail passes through many scenic areas like arch’s, water streams and also a power station. At the end of the hike there is grass platform and a waterfall which is very high and looks beautiful. It’s a must visit when you are traveling Wuyuan to see rapeseed flowers. There are multiple shuttles which go through from Wuyuan city to scenic areas so east to travel between multiple cities. Very interesting statues and artwork was done by using local grown material like rope, Jute, Clothes and hay. There were more than 20-30 arts were there in the fields. Layers of golden terraces planted with rapeseed flowers are said to be one of the 10 most beautiful terraces in the world. Wuyuan is also a historic site, home to some of the best-preserved ancient architecture in China. #passionpassport When we started hiking Huangshan in Last week of January, it started snowing and whole trails and trees on the trail turned into white scenery. It was looking so wonderful that even hiking in extreme cold was worthwhile. It took us 6 hours to reach our hostel on the top. Weather became cold but it made scabbard beautiful. Paths were ski part so we used anti skid equipment in our shoes which we got from local market. There were many people who were hiking with us so if you are traveling solo you won’t feel alone. There are many shops on the streets which sells many traditional items like carvings, Combs, Statues and souvenirs like key rings, Hair accessories and clothes. One of the Overlook is New Found Gap, where view is amazing and also it’s famous visiting point in National park. Great Smoky National Park is easy to visit as most of the View points are reachable by car and after Car Parking it requires short hike. Which can be little tough but if planned nicely then it will be fun. Nearby business are traditional grocery shops, drink stalls and fruit shops. You can see the local residents’ humble life. When the train passes by through the old street, a rumbling and thunderous sound is inescapable. A very famous Taiwanese commercial was shot here. Can be done with family friends and food with kids. This trails has most of the path cemented but a small path also passes in grass and muddy path. There are other trails also in the park. There is also a dog area where people come in evening and lots of dog and there guardians can be seen in the park. Mt Baldy is in National Park and require National Park Pass for vehicles. This pass can be purchased online or in the park. Hike to Central Beach was nice and short. It’s a short walk and ends at the beautiful beach. Beach is clean and has fine sand. In a sunny day water looks blue and on Cloudy days it gets little cold. It’s good for family, Group and kids outing. Good for swimming and sunbathing. It takes just 5-10 min walk on the dune to reach Beach. The Rampur Raza Library is a treasure house of Indo Islamic learning and arts which was setup by the erstwhile Rampur State which was founded by Nawab Faizullah Khan in 1774, who ruled the State up to 1794 and formed the nucleus of the library through his inherited collection of valuable manuscripts, historical documents, Mughal miniature paintings, books and other works of art kept in the Nawabs Toshakhana. He also substantially added to the collection by his acquisition. Nawab Muhammad Yusuf Ali Khan 'Nazim' a was literary person and a famous poet of Urdu and a disciple of celebrated poet Mirza Ghalib. He created a separate department of the library and shifted the collection to the newly constructed rooms of Kothi Genralie. The Nawab also invited well known calligraphers, illuminators and binders from Kashmir and other parts of India. #passionpassport This is one of the most beautiful sunset I experienced. It last week of January and it started snowing on Yellow mountain. It was looking so surreal and mesmerizing. To see Sunset we started climbing around 11, and reached at 5-6, we woke up at 4 and hiked to sunrise seeing point but due to fog and rain could see it but we were happy that we were able to see sunset, as it was snowing we were not hopeful we will be able to see sun but luckily got peak of it. We stayed in one of the hotel on the peak and serviced severe cold there. But over al a trip to remember.
