One of the highlights of our visit was learning about the dairy farming process. We got to see how the cows are milked and even had the chance to purchase fresh milk and yogurt produced right on the farm. Their dairy products were incredibly fresh and delicious. The ice cream, made from farm-fresh milk, was a particular treat, and I highly recommend trying it. For families with children, Desa Dairy Farm in an educational and interactive experience. When my family and I visit Mount Kinabalu, we always stop by at Desa Dairy farm for its breathtaking view as we are in New Zealand. Besides, its main attraction of its cow farm, we always aim for its gelato milky ice cream and purchase its fresh milk. It's always fun and joyful moment with families not only when we have cool and fresh air over the mountain here. Went here for the second times and I'm still in love with this place. This is a very nice place with beautiful view to enjoy the cattle from afar and up close they’re roaming freely within the fenced up meadow. Also one of the few places to see the real size and black and white colored cows in Malaysia! The view with mountain backdrop is marvelous when the sky is clear during good weather. The weather here is so cool with the fresh air. There is also ice-cream made from the fresh milk from the cattle. Do try their gelato, it fits perfectly with the vibe and weather there. However, it is too crowded and rowdy with tourists to enjoy the beautiful scenery. The area is huge with alot of activities such as calf and goat feeding as well as cow milking. The entrance fee is just rm5 per person. Overall, it is reasonably a good place to visit in Kundasang for a short few hours. This trip departs from Kota Kinabalu at 5am and arrives back at Kota Kinabalu at 6pm. The 7 places we visited in order are as follows: 1) Sosodikon Hill Kundasang Address: Kg Kauluan Peti Surat 873, 89308 Kundasang, Sabah. Opening hours: 6.00am-17.00pm Tickets: RM 5 for MyKad, RM 10 for non-MyKad Highlight: Wonderful 360-degree panoramic view of Kundasang and Mount Kinabalu. The hike up the mountain is not difficult. The scenery is nice and it only takes a few minutes to reach the viewpoint. The wind at the viewing platform is so strong that I almost got paralyzed. But the scenery I took was worth it, with Mount KK on one side and a small hillside that looks like a matcha cake on the other. If you are lucky, you can see the whole Mount Kinabalu without being blocked by the clouds. For those who drive to the foot of Sosodikon Hill, parking is available, but it may be a bit tricky if you park there during peak hours. The road to Sosodikon is also a bit bumpy. Overall it's worth a visit. Rating: 4/5 2) Anooh Coffee Address: KM3 Kundasang-Ranau road Kundasang, 89308 Ranau, Sabah Opening hours: 8.30am-20.30pm Tickets: - Highlight: If you arrive in Kundasang too early and have nowhere to go, you can choose to go to Anooh Coffee to have a cup of coffee and enjoy the scenery. There is nothing special about the food and drinks, but it's good to have a cup of hot drink in a cold place. They use the seats of the bus as tables and benches to create a unique experience. Enjoy the food and drinks in the bus, the environment is unique and cool, and you can play on the slide in the restaurant. Rating: 4/5 4) Kundasang Market Address: AH150, Pekan Kundasang, 89308 Ranau, Sabah Opening hours: 6.00am-20.00pm Tickets: - Highlight: If you want to take a more local itinerary today, I recommend you to come to Kundasang Market, which has more than a dozen fruit and vegetable stalls. Whether it is vegetables such as corn, mushrooms, tomatoes, radishes, etc., or fruits such as mangosteen, soursop, pomelo, etc., you can see them here. We bought a kilogram of mangosteen (RM12), which tasted sweet and delicious. Desa Dairy Farm is a dairy farm located at the foot of mount Kinabalu in Kundasang, Sabah. It produce cow milk dairy and the milk can’t get it from other market even in Kota Kinabalu town. The weather here is around 24’c, is very comfortable and nice to stay over here. The milk and yogurt are fresh and valuable.
