🇬🇧 英國曼徹斯特出發，交通工具可到的簡易行山路線，這次我乘搭火車由Piccadilly 到Edale. 在Trainline 買門票。下載了行山apps all trials, 再跟佢嘅路線去行。 Mam Tor 高517m, 整條路線都十分易行同簡單，Mam Tor 沿途都有部分指示牌，加上梯級都分明,適合同小朋友一齊行。係唔錯嘅親子活動，唔少人會過嚟睇日出添！ 📍Peak District - Mam Tor ⏰Duration: 3 hours 🚆Public Transport from Manchester: ✔️ Train station: Edale Route: Edale > Mam Tor > Back Tor > Edale Difficulty: 2/5 Mam Tor is a 517 m hill in the High Peak of Derbyshire in UK. Its name means "mother hill",so called because frequent landslip on its eastern face have resulted in a multitude of 'mini-hills' beneath it. There is a well marked footpath leads to the summit of Mam Tor. The view is so nice from Mam Tor. 🇬🇧 📍Peak District - Bamford Edge and Strange Edge Circular ⏰Duration: 4 hours 🚆Public Transport from Manchester: ✔️ Train station: Bamford Route: Bamford Train > The Clough > Strange Edge > Bamford Edge > Heatherdene > Bamford Train Difficulty: 3/5 Apps: All Trials On the way you will take lots of stunning pictures especially when it is good weather. This time I am hike with All Trials Apps, it’s really good but still need to make sure at every point is match and don’t get lost and don’t go other routes. I go for this route just because it is from the review in All Trials and they said in the anti-clockwise would be more comfortable than clockwise. It would be the case in fact. But clockwise would still be a good choice if you want to challenge yourself. 🇬🇧 📍Buxton - Poole’s Cavern - Solomon’s Temple - Buxton ⏰Duration: 1.5 hours (including time to take video and photo) 🚆Public Transport from Manchester: ✔️ From Manchester Piccadilly station to Buxton Station Route: Buxton > Pavilion Gardens > Poole’s Cavern > Grin Wood > Solomon’s Temple > Poole’s Cavern > Pavilion Gardens > Buxton Difficulty: 2/5 I have downloaded the offline map in All Trial (Solomon’s Temple and Pooles Cavern Circular). However I only follow the first part of the route, I start my route in Poole’s Cavern, then get to Solomon’s Temple via Grin Wood and then just back to Poole’s Cavern and same way back to the train station. I found this route is pretty easy, and it is suitable to walk with little kids and pets. The view from Solomon’s temple is amazing. I am pretty sure you can take a lot of nice picture here. Also, during the route, you will found a lot of information board with the explanation of the history and the animals. 🇬🇧 📍Ladybower Reservoir - Derwent Edge - Lost Lad - Back Tor ⏰Duration: 5 hours (including time to take video and photo) 🚆Public Transport from Manchester: ✔️ From Mamchester Piccadailly To Bamford Train Station Optional: Can choose walk to Ladybower Reservoir / Take H1 / 258 bus Route I tried: Ladybower Reservoir > Derwent Edge > Lost Lad > Back Tor > Ladybower Reservoir Difficulty: 3/5 Apps: All Trials I have tried the route in All Trials - Ladybower Reservoir and Derwent Edge, It is marked as Hard level, but i think it is not that hard, i will rate it as moderate level. At first, it is simple and easy, many people take simple walk with children/elderly/pets. Also, some cyclist practising in the route. After that when i go up, it is little bit steep and rocky, remember to have your hiking shoes with you. You will see very beautiful purple view. Also, during this route, the direction is very clear and you will clearly know which is your route and follow it. 🇬🇧 📍Jacobs Ladder - Kinder Low - Kinder Scout ⏰Duration: 5 hours (including time to take video and photo) 🚆Public Transport from Manchester: ✔️ From Mamchester Piccadailly To Edale Train Station Route I tried: Edale > Barber Booth > Dalehead Bunkhouse > Jacobs Ladder > Kinder Low > Kinder Scout > Jacobs Ladder > Upper Booth > Edale Difficulty: 3/5 I have tried the route in All Trials - Jacobs Ladder and Kinder Scout Circular. But i will recommend it in other way. The first part I will recommend go through the path to upper booth, it would be easier and more clear route in this way. It is spacious and have some instruction. After that, you will see Jacobs Ladder, it was amazing! Tbh I like Jacobs Ladder so much, it also suitble for mountain biking. Even it is fantastic in Jacobs Ladder, please take care of yourself and if you feel tires, just take a rest and drink water. Then it would be the check point of Kinder Low and Kinder Scout, the view is great, after that you can also see different rocks and can take a lot of picture there!
