Hidden Gems at Hong Kong Disneyland
While you may know and love Hong Kong Disneyland, do you know these hidden gems of the park?
1. For the best view of the castle, follow the stairs up to Main Street Train Station, where you can get a beautiful sky view of the park and the castle! Be sure to see the park through a different point of view by rising the train afterwards!
2. The marching band plays the best disney music! They are so fun and so happy to be there, playing for you. They come out at various times of the day, so be sure to keep your ears out for them.
3. If you’re staying at one of the three Hong Kong Disneyland Resort Hotels, go out the back gate and take in the beautiful sights of the water. It’s serene and peaceful, a perfect contrast to the business of the park.
4. One of the best places to eat in the park is Tahitian Terrace. Enjoy some yummy curry, both meat and vegetarian options! You won’t be disappointed.
5. Finally, observe the details of this park. There are hidden attractions everywhere. Across from Mystic Manor, there are various “lookout” points, each with a hidden picture. Check them out!

World’s FIRST EVER Frozen-themed land ❄️
Be enchanted with Frozen-themed land in Disneyland Hong Kong! There, visitors can see Arendelle Castle, Clock Tower Square, Friendship Fountain, and even the North Mountain with Elsa’s Ice Palace!
There are two attractions there. First is ‘Frozen Ever After’ which is a boat ride that fits for the whole family. Second is ‘Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs’ that is a family-friendly coaster. Oaken is there too, ready to greet visitors.
Do not miss the theatrical experience with Anna and Elsa at ‘Playhouse in the Woods’. Taking Arendelle Forest as the set, visitors will witness Elsa’s magic move. Children will definitely love it.
Hop in to Golden Crocus Inn and find delicious dishes there. We recommend Forest Mushroom Pasta. The restaurant is intricately decorated too. We were so mesmerized.

🎡Full Experience at Shanghai Disneyland 🎢
🏨 Orange Hotel (Shanghai Pudong International Tourism Resort Chongxi Road Branch)
Recommendation: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
✅ Free shuttle bus to Disneyland! Great value, comfortable stay, and super convenient!
🌟 Travel Tip: Book the hotel’s early shuttle bus (06:20 departure) to arrive at the park by 7 AM. Get in line early and enter the park easily by 8 AM!
🎡 Guided Tour for Popular Attractions | Hassle-Free Experience
I opted for the guided tour service recommended by the hotel, and it’s perfect for those who want to maximize their time:
✔ Pros
• The guide plans the route, so no need to figure out the itinerary yourself—just head straight to the top attractions!
• By midday, I had already finished 8 rides, watched a show, and enjoyed the parade. Super efficient!
✔ Cons
• The schedule is tight, leaving little time for photos or leisurely meals. Best for those focused on rides.
• Photo time is mostly after 4 PM, so make the most of the golden hour for great lighting!
✨ Time-Saving Tips for the Park
• If dining at the park isn’t your priority, pack some filling snacks and small bites in your bag. Perfect for munching in line and saving time for other activities!
• Parade Viewing: Secure your spot 45 minutes in advance. I recommend sitting facing the park entrance to avoid the sunlight for a better view.
• Fireworks Viewing: Aim to grab a spot 1.5 hours in advance. The area in front of the lake offers the best views! I arrived an hour early, and the good spots were already taken.
• For a more flexible experience, spend the morning taking photos and exploring. You can enjoy the rides after sunset when the crowds thin out.
• Don’t forget to catch the free shuttle bus back to the hotel—it’ll save you the cost of a taxi!
These tips are based on my weekday visit. If you’re visiting on a holiday, plan for even earlier queues and tighter schedules. Disneyland on holidays can get wild!
🎡 Attractions I Covered:
Check the last photo for the full list of rides and activities I enjoyed during the day!
⏳ One day is short, but the memories are endless!
Make the most of your time and create unforgettable moments. If you have any questions, feel free to ask—I’ll do my best to help!
Thank you! 💕
