#myhiddengems Originally, Delft was part of my itinerary as a day trip from Amsterdam. It takes less than an hour by train. But you know how Amsterdam can be. So after I finally managed to get out fo Amsterdam and see more. One of those days I was in Hague and looking for day trip ideas. Turns out Delft was even closer. I think I took a tram ride and barely within 30 mins or even less I reached the Delft station. On the way back i took the NS train and it took only 10 minutes. The weather was nice and as expected Delft is a small city. The sight of canals will continue to welcome you. I had an early start and didn't have breakfast in Hague because part of my plans was to have a Stads-Koffyhuis Dutch breakfast with a coffee. Alternately you could also get a pastry and coffee at the Uit de Dunst gallery. I headed straight to the historic town. There was an old church before but I decided to skip. After two hours of walking aroune the historic town. It isnt very big. I stopped for lunch. Then explored the market, visited Nieuwe Kerk in Delft. Evening was nicely spent exploring the Beestenmarkt. My travel picks in Netherland were all over the place. Firstly, because I was very comfortable. Most places in Netherlands, it was easy to get by with English. And secondly I was constantly looking foe off beat spots. If a place had decent transport connections, accomodation options and no harsh reviews, i would give it a try. Also, I had exhausted the usual list of places people go to in Netherlands. Groningen made for an unusual but eventful break. Bicycles were big here as with many other places in Netherlands. And my preferred choice. This being the month of May, the weather was very nice. I picked a hostel outside the city center. I started off with a wonderful boat tour. Great way to absorb the sights and get a hang of the town. Rest of my travels were a combo of on foot and the bicycle. From the Groningen museum, to the fish market, martini tower, to cycling around town and trying a hand at indoor rock climbing. Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen the name A place nice for photo, from far you can see it as giant bowl or cup with mirror alike glass. It reflected the clear and nice sky in Rotterdam. This time in the Netherlands, I went to Venlo, which is on the border of the Netherlands and Germany, next to Dusseldorf. It is an old port city of the Netherlands. There are churches and houses that are cute in the Dutch style and good beer. When I went, it was raining so the weather was a bit cool. This city is very easy to walk around. The weather is nice and you don't feel any PM dust. It is a big city because there are a lot of industries around the outside. There are supermarkets and department stores where you can buy things. Rotterdam had arisen from its challenging moments and shone bright with colours and shapes, fun architecture, and many students and tech people.
