From the famous blue hole magical spot in Dahab-Red Sea Sinai.. take a 3 hour hike between the rocky Red Sea mountain to Ras Abu Galum the beautiful secluded protectorate some 15 km north of Dahab. There is a Bedouin settlement on the beach and crystal clear waters for wonderful snorkelling or scuba diving. It is possible to reach Ras Abu Galum easily, first by road to the Blue Hole and then either by camel or foot along the coastal path. Easily accessible as a day trip from Dahab although also popular for those wishing to experience a night under the stars, sleeping on the beach with food provided by Bedouin hosts. Many dive centres offer dive safaris to Ras Abu Galum using camels as the main mode of transport to carry all the diving equipment. The Blue Lagoon is an even more stunning and remote spot a further 8km north of Ras Abu Galum, famed for its stunning clear blue water and remote location it really is an escape from the modern world.
