🥩🇫🇷 Beef Wellington & French Charm – A Delightful Evening at JP French Restaurant
Nestled in a quiet corner of Sukhumvit, JP French Restaurant is one of those rare, underrated gems that delivers on all fronts—warm hospitality, authentic French flavors, and a homey atmosphere that feels a world away from the bustle of Bangkok.
We dined in for dinner and were immediately welcomed with friendly, attentive service. The restaurant has a cozy, rustic charm—think of a Parisian neighborhood bistro transported into the heart of Bangkok.
🥩 What We Ordered:
• JP Salad – a fresh, vibrant starter with a generous portion and well-balanced vinaigrette.
• Escargots – classic, garlicky, and buttery, served sizzling in their shells.
• Beef Wellington – the highlight of the night. The pastry was golden and crisp, the beef inside beautifully medium rare, paired with a rich sauce that tied everything together.
• Scalloped potatoes – creamy, comforting, and indulgent, the perfect side to the Wellington.
Everything was served hot, plated with care, and tasted as good as it looked. It’s clear that Chef Jean-Pierre still takes pride in maintaining quality and consistency, and his presence in the restaurant adds a warm, personal touch.

Grill, Chill & Nikkei Thrill: RED’s Fusion Feast in Sukhumvit
RED Nikkei & Steak Bar in Sukhumvit Soi 38 is a modern, vibrant spot where Japanese precision meets bold Peruvian flavors. Led by Chef Off from Iron Chef Thailand, this two-story venue combines sleek design with a warm, inviting ambiance—perfect for casual dates or group dinners.
The menu is a well-balanced mix of grilled meats, seafood, and Nikkei-style small plates. Signature standouts include the grilled cheesy corn, baby buffalo ribeye, and skewers like pork chop with shiso cheese. Ceviche lovers will be pleased by the freshness and tang of the hamachi yuzu and hotate with passion fruit.
Service is top-notch—attentive, efficient, and surprisingly polished for a relaxed bar setting. The upstairs open kitchen adds an interactive touch, while the glass-walled lower floor offers a cool city vibe.
While it leans toward the premium side, the pricing reflects the quality of ingredients and creativity in execution. A great pick for foodies who enjoy modern Asian-Latin fusion with solid technique and flair.

Bankok street food is delicious 🌭
#eatlikealocal
Bangkok street food is honestly a paradise for foodies like me! The moment I stepped into the bustling streets of Sukhumvit and Khao San Road, the vibrant aromas of grilled meats, spices, and sizzling woks hit me. Every corner offers something different, from pad thai to mango sticky rice, and the best part? Most dishes cost between 30-60 THB ($1-2), so it’s super affordable to try a bit of everything.
One of my favorites was the spicy papaya salad (som tam)—refreshing, spicy, and full of flavor. The grilled satay skewers were also incredible! As I wandered, I discovered hidden gems in Chinatown, which is an absolute must for seafood lovers. After indulging in all the food, I took a quick tuk-tuk ride to the Grand Palace, one of the most iconic attractions nearby. Bangkok’s street food is an adventure in itself, and you really can’t go wrong with anything you try! 🥢🍜🌶️
