Comfort food made right at Kedai Kopi Suka Hati MyTown KL
Craving comfort? I found it at Kedai Kopi Suka Hati at MyTown KL— where nasi lemak dreams come true 💚 Served the traditional way on a dulang (tray), every bite feels like a warm hug from home.
Fluffy rice, perfectly spiced sambal, and just the right balance of flavors. And don’t get me started on their teh tarik — smooth, frothy, not too sweet… just how I like it 🫶🏽
Simple, nostalgic, and oh-so satisfying. This is my kind of happy meal 😋✨

Roadside Sizzle – Claypot Chicken Rice Worth the Wait at Kedai Kopi Pudu Satu Enam Lapan

I went to Kedai Kopi Pudu Satu Enam Lapan in the evening, specifically for the famous claypot chicken rice—and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The stall is set up along the roadside, and the aroma of rice cooking over charcoal greets you before you even sit down.
The wait can be a little long during peak hours, but trust me, it’s worth every minute. The rice came with a deliciously crispy bottom layer, tender chicken, bits of salted fish, and a rich soy-based sauce that gets mixed in at your table. The smoky aroma from the charcoal made the whole experience feel rustic and authentic.
Sitting on the roadside, with locals chatting over hot claypots and kopi, made it one of those classic KL food moments that’s hard to beat.

🍽️ Shirasa Shokudō – Local Delights with a View
My visit to Shirasa Shokudō was a highlight of the day. Perched with an expansive ocean view, the restaurant felt like a peaceful retreat as I enjoyed some of the freshest Okinawan fare I’ve had. The sea grapes (“umi budo”) were a refreshing starter—they popped with a slightly salty, briny burst that paired perfectly with the breeze off the water.
I opted for several local dishes: tender fried fish, comforting bowl of Rafute (Okinawan braised pork belly), and some crisp vegetable sides. The flavors were authentic and unpretentious—exactly the kind of food that tells the story of the island’s culinary heritage.
Sitting by the window, everything from the view to the gentle hum of conversation made the experience feel extra special. The staff were warm, and though the menu was all in Japanese, they guided me through each dish with enthusiasm and simple English.
Whether you’re craving genuine-rustic Okinawan flavors or just want to eat with a stunning seascape backdrop, Shirasa Shokudō delivers a satisfying, soulful meal.

Very popular
We happened to be passing by and like before we had noticed this restaurant to be always crowded. Lots of families and bigger groups coming to eat. After some amount of waiting we were lucky to get in. The food was your regional Chinese food. I can't recollect names of dishes or even took pictures of some. But from what we managed things tasted decent. The prices were alright. Two of us ate here with two main dishes and serving of noodles and some small dishes for under 25 USD. We had a drink too. Overall, it was a decent deal.
