Seafood Heaven at Osaka’s Kizu Market 🐟
If you’re a seafood lover, Kizu Market (木津市場) in Osaka is a dream come true. We arrived early and dove straight into the freshest uni, scallops, otoro, and sushi platters you can imagine—some trays even under ¥1,100! The quality? Absolutely restaurant-grade, but at market prices.
We brought trays of fresh uni, scallops, premium sushi, and a luxurious otoro-ikura don—basically turned our dining table into an omakase counter. 🍣✨
💡 Tip: Go early for the best selection.
📍Closest station: Daikokucho (大国町駅), just a short walk away

🍜 Ichiran Namba Midosuji – A Solo Ramen Experience Worth the Hype
We had dinner at Ichiran Namba Midosuji before taking an evening stroll along the lively streets of Osaka. Despite it being a well-known chain, the experience still felt unique. Ichiran is famous for its individual dining booths, which was perfect after a long day when all you want is to focus on your food.
Ordering was done through a vending machine, and then we filled out a form to customise our bowl of tonkotsu ramen—everything from noodle firmness to spice level and richness of the broth. The ramen was rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The noodles were firm (just how I like them), and the pork slices were tender and tasty. Their signature red sauce gave the broth a subtle kick without overpowering the flavors.
The experience felt efficient yet personal. Great spot if you’re craving a solid bowl of ramen in Osaka. Perfect start to a chill night exploring the city.

Our family just returned from an unforgettable adventure in Japan! 🇯🇵✨ From the vibrant streets of Tokyo to the peaceful beauty of Kyoto, every moment was magical.
In Tokyo, we explored iconic spots like the Tokyo Skytree, Sensoji Temple, and Shibuya Crossing, enjoying delicious ramen and yakitori along the way. The Hachiko Statue reminded us of loyalty, while our time at Tokyo Disney and DisneySea brought out the kid in us!
Our Kyoto trip felt like stepping back in time. We marveled at the torii gates of Fushimi Inari Shrine, found peace at Kiyomizu-dera Temple, and admired the serene beauty of the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest. Ninenzaka Street and Starbucks Ninenzaka offered the perfect mix of history and modernity, while Kifune Shrine and the Philosopher’s Path provided moments of quiet reflection.
In Osaka, we soaked in the lively atmosphere of Dotonbori and Namba, and the food—oh, the food! From okonomiyaki to tempura, Osaka is a true culinary haven!
Our Mt. Fuji day trip was a dream come true, with stunning views at Lake Kawaguchi, Momiji Tunnel, and Chureito Pagoda. The beauty of Hakone wrapped up our journey perfectly.
Japan, you've captured our hearts with your blend of tradition, innovation, and breathtaking sights. We're already dreaming of our next visit! 🗾❤️
Exploring Japan’s Culinary Treasures: Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto
Japan offers a rich and diverse culinary journey, with each city showcasing its own food culture.
Tokyo: The sushi 🍣 here is world-renowned, especially at Toyosu Fish Market. You can also enjoy endless varieties of ramen 🍜, such as tonkotsu (pork broth) or shoyu (soy sauce broth). Tokyo’s food scene is vibrant and diverse, with countless restaurants and street food options.
Osaka: Known as Japan’s “kitchen,” Osaka is famous for street food like takoyaki 🐙 (octopus balls) and okonomiyaki 🥢 (savory pancakes with various fillings). Dotonbori is the go-to spot for these local treats, and the food stalls give you a true taste of Osaka’s heart.
Kyoto: For a more refined experience, Kyoto is the home of kaiseki 🍱, a multi-course traditional meal. Don’t miss out on the local tea houses for matcha 🍵 and wagashi (traditional sweets). Kyoto’s tofu dishes, like yudofu (boiled tofu), highlight the city’s love for seasonal and fresh ingredients.
