Feel like I could stay in bed and stare out of the window all day. The outdoor view is breathtakingly beautiful and the 360° revolving bed so comfortable. Outside the hotel, the view of mountains, river and cormorant fishing calms the soul. Just round the corner is an ancient town for one to indulge in history and nostalgia. One time I stayed here and the another time I caught a 50 minute didi up from Yangshuo where I was staying. It has a lovely feel to it, with a cute ancient pedestrian street, cafes, a mountain (Laozhaishan) to hike up, and the famous 20 Yuan note view of the Li River. There are other activities like bamboo rafting and visiting a nearby cave.

After arriving at Yangshuo station, instead of going to Yangshuo (some kilometres away), iIopted for going to Xingping, a smaller, less touristy town. Indeed, it is much more quiet, there are many more available services, and mountains are just a short walk away. Would highly recommend climbing up the Lao Zhai Mountain with stunning views over the peaks, and it's just 4 minutes away from the town's center. Xingping is a treasure amongst the Yangshuo craze! I stayed at the 30 degrees Xinping Hostel, very helpful hostel owners and staff! #xingping #xingpingzhen

We visited the scenic area printed on the 20 Yuan note. The landscape was just unreal! Limestone mountains all over, the Lijian river flowing slowly, small bamboo boats going up and down the river, the birds! It was all so beautiful. This is a perfect spot for sunset.
