#mountainhike 📍Address: Meteora, Kalampaka, Greece Meteora is one of my favourite hiking places! The five famous monasteries built on the rock formations years ago! truly stunning views! Many people book tours to take them to those monasteries, but I truly believe the better experience is if you hike them yourself! It is not as difficult as it sounds! Even someone who has never hiked before can take the route and reach three monasteries easily! It is located in a hill which you'll need to climb and it takes roughly an hour by foot. 📍Address: Palaiokastritsa 490 83, Greece During summer time the weather is very hot 🥵🥵 therefore make sure to bring a lot of water with yourself. Before you enter the monastery they provide you clothing for the women to cover their shoulders and legs, as due to religious reasons otherwise is not allowed to enter. Then I realised I have not been to Hammersmith bridge in ages. #myhiddengems I went there, walked more than an hour whilst enjoying the peaceful views. I ended up waiting for the sun to start setting before making my way back. Pietro, 37129 Verona VR, Italy My partner and I went for an afternoon walk in Verona to Parco Antonio Avena, which is by the way the perfect place to watch the sunset. #myhiddengems If you go during the autumn months you will get to enjoy a colourful view from the top. The small hike, more like climbing stairs, will take you roughly half an hour if not even less. #2024mapped My partner and I stayed at B&B Hotel Geneva Airport for two nights in November 2024 and it was lovely. #myhiddengems The hotel is relatively close to the airport and a free shuttle is provided. It makes it easier and more convenient if you have a very early or late flight, just like how we did. At the hotel we had breakfast for only 5.50 per person and we got coffee and two pastries each. It was perfect as we usually don't have large amounts of food in the morning. 📍Address: Grove Rd., London E3 5TB Have you wondered what you could do in London and have spare time? You can visit Victoria Park which is located very central and rent a boat. While paddling on the boat you get enjoy the lovely views and snap quick photos. You can get to see from up close ducks, swans 🦢 and other birdies. The ticket price to rent a boat is only around £12.00 for an hour's which is definitely worth the price. TIP: Or you can use this as a date destination +_+

#traveldiaries There is so much to do in Bedford, however of course one day is more than enough! While it was still sunny ☀️ and nice we went to the Priory Country Park, which is half an hour away on floor from town centre. There were plenty of walking groups around, some joggers, some families with their little ones. The vibe was so homey and friendly. We had a booking at The Swan Hotel for afternoon tea. We had our booking in Anna's Tearoom.... Magnificent! #myhiddengems I recommend to anyone to book in advance and have this experience. The food is yummy 😋🤤, the restaurant area is so well decorated. It is not something you would expect to see, when you look at the hotel from outside. After the tee, snacks and few cocktails, we walking around the river. #mountainhike 📍Address: Paleokastrites 490 83, Greece My half and I attempted to reach this magnificent castle in Paleokastritsa. We were hiking for fours under the scorching hot 🔥🥵 sun, with not enough water (because we drank it all within one hour), to barely reach the castle. On the way we passed a small lovely town, or I believe it was a village. It was very quiet there and all the locals were super friendly. in the end we didn't manage to reach the castle, therefore I do not recommend you to take the hike unless you believe you will manage. Four hours after hiking, steep roads, and the castle still looked very far. The locals of that town even thought we have gone mad to trying to reach the castle by foot. Although, we know some people have managed to reach, therefore it could be just us being with low stamina or maybe because that day it was almost 40degrees hot and with no shade to hike, is a real challenge #travel #thingstodo #hiking #greece #resorts #newdaynewdestination

Depending on which day and what time you want to go, the fee varies. There is so much to do. A lot of rides to go on - romantic ones, scary ones, rides with high adreline, a lot of rides for children. The food stalls are endless, many different kinds of cuisine and all fresh and hot. #2024mapped One of the best experiences we did whilst visiting Corfu, Paleokastritsa was to sign up for a boat ride to watch the sunset. #myhiddengems The journey started from getting on board on the boat from Alipa Beach. First they took us on a tour to visit the nearby caves and the beautiful rock formations. Closer to the sunset time, we were each given a glass of prosecco and enjoyed the sunset. When it was time for the sunset, all the chitter chatter from everyone died down and everyone was just there, watching and enjoyitthe sunset. #2024mapped This year when we visited Edinburgh early September, we decided to try go hiking and visit Arthur's seat. #myhiddengems As we are hike lovers 😍, we just couldn't resist! 😂 As we were making our way up, we could see the scenery before us, with all the orange/yellow trees in the distance. Breathtaking views! At some point it started to drizzle, not bad, very manageable. But in an instant it started to hail - with nowhere to hide , we had to beat with it! The dark clouds and heavy hail didn't seem to have the intention of stopping any time soon, however half an hour later or so, as suddenly as the hail came, it just disappeared. The sun shone brightly and proudly on the sky, as nothing had happened. Although we were wet to the core of our bones, it was an incredible experience with amazing views. tip: be prepared, take raincoats.... #autumn #edinburgh #travel #newdaynewdestination #hiking
