Dropped by Qiao Di Kopitiam at Eco Botanic and was pleasantly surprised by how solid it was for a no-frills, traditional Malaysian Chinese meal. I had the wanton mee, and it absolutely delivered. The noodles were cooked just right—springy, not mushy—and tossed in a flavorful sauce that struck a nice balance: not too oily, not too salty. The real highlight? The wantons. Both the crispy fried and smooth poached versions were generously filled and delicious. The fried wantons had a nice crunch, and the poached ones were soft and juicy. Washed it all down with a cup of cham (coffee + tea blend), and it was everything you’d expect from a proper kopitiam brew—thick, frothy, and packed with flavor. Prices were really reasonable considering the generous portions, especially compared to other cafés in the area. Had my birthday dinner here @ Marco Polo. Love the vibes, the service, the food! The ravioli was exquisite and I still dream about eating it. They served tortilla chips with salsa as starters and it was yummy too! We ordered margaritas in a jug and THE JUG WAS HUGE! This was easily served for 4-5pax but we were sad we can’t finished it. As it was my birthday, they offered a dessert with sing-a-long (equipped with guitar playing, clapping, tambourine shaking - which was embarrassing enough for me haha). Nasi Ayam Kee Chup was located at JB City Center and walking distance from JB CIQ. The landmark you can found is opposite of Johor International Convention Center. The Chicken Rice are served with Whole-leg and the main ingredient will be Kee Chup (Soya Sauce) when marinated. I would like to recommend the drink from this shop is Kopi Peng. The taste is rich enough if you are the coffee lover. For the price wise consider above average which shall cost MYR12 for the food and drink MYR4 each. Their menu is much smaller. They have a small air-conditioned area, but seats inside are abit cramped. Decided to check out the breakfast varieties at this food centre again after last night's dinner at this same place. Only a few stores were open. Majority of the people were having Kway Chap. So of cos I ordered too, together with other food. The kwaychap was nice, especially the pig intestines. Its texture was nice & it was cleaned quite thoroughly so there was no strong smell/taste to it. Wanton mee & curry noodle wasn't a disappointment either. But the chicken rice was very average, rice was abit bland & meat not tender enough. Overall, the morning crowd was much lesser than evening's. I would recommend the Kwaychap if you're a lover of it. Tucked in the heart of Johor Bahru, Seven Oaks Bakery Café serves up a feast that’s as photogenic as it is delicious. We started with Salted Egg Fries – golden, crispy, and dusted with just the right amount of umami-rich goodness.
