🇮🇩Tukad Cepung Waterfall, Bali, Indonesia 💦What to Bring
During my Bali trip, I tagged along with a nature-loving friend who insisted we visit Tukad Cepung Waterfall—a place I had never heard of. I’m more of a city explorer, not into jungle treks or slippery rocks. But I figured, why not? This was a rare chance to try something new.
.
Luckily, we had a private driver, so we left our stuff in the car and only brought essentials. I thought my phone tripod would help with photos... but it ended up being more useful as a makeshift trekking stick.
.
Tip: Wear sandals, not slippers.
You’ll walk through actual flowing water, slippery rocks, and tight cave passages. Slippers got swept away in seconds! Proper sandals with grip are a must.
.
Once you reach the water, you can choose the easy or the rugged path. We went for the adventurous one, of course. It was longer and tougher—crawling, climbing, squeezing through narrow spots. Before we even reached the main falls, we were already drenched from mist.
.
And then we entered the cave—sunlight streamed through, creating magical rainbows across the water. It was like a scene from a movie. Totally worth the soaked clothes and body.
.
If you’re going, wear swimwear, bring a dry bag, and pack a towel and change of clothes. It gets cold, and everything gets wet—including your electronics.
.
Despite not being the adventurous type, I’m so glad I went. Tukad Cepung pushed me out of my comfort zone and gave me one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life.
