Gigi’s cafe is in old market sharm el sheikh, it is on the second floor and has a big balcony so you get an amazing sea view and it’s even better as the sun sets in the evening. The latte was beautiful and the jam tart was very delicious, they sell lots of flavours of ice cream which we will try on another day, they have very low music playing, it is a very nice place#sharm #old #market #egypt

wow wow El Masrien in old market sharm el sheikh was very very busy when we visited, we had lentil soup followed by chicken shawarma meal which came with fries and garlic mayonnaise both were nothing special. We didn’t dine in the evening but if you want to, you need to pre-book in advance at the Guest Relations office.

We can see potential for this space should you wish to host people in your room for some card games or simply sit down and talk. We also really enjoyed the balcony overlooking the Relax Pool. When the pool is lighten up it does add to the serene evening ambiance.

The bathroom was a decent size with a huge mirror and a lot of toiletries – bath gel, shampoo, body lotion, toothbrushes and toothpaste, shower caps, vanity kit and shaving kit. We even had two bath robes, which we didn’t expect and were a great addition.

The reception and lobby area are beautiful and spacious. Reception staff were friendly and always ready to help and answer any questions. Safran, turmeric, parsley etc. are all players on your plate and make the food get its vibrant look and amazing flavours. We noticed many Turkish influences anything from Pide to Adana Kebabs, which make sense as Egypt used to be ruled in one way or another by Turkey since the 16th century till the 20th century. In terms of food, flat breads are very popular and tend to be accompanied by various dips to be sampled before the mains arrive. These can range from spicy beans or chickpeas to a very tahini heavy hummus. We also sampled a selection of oriental desserts including baklava, kunafa and basbusa. They were good also and left us with a sweet taste at the end. Egyptians also like to drink hibiscus teas which can be very refreshing and can be served cold (ice tea) or warm. Inside the mosque the décor is also nice but more modest and conservative. Similar to our visit in the Banya Bashi Mosque in Sofia there are many architectural elements which are shared. We were pleasantly impressed to see the Islamic religious writing on the ceiling and walls with golden letters. Carpets also had a floral motif and added a bit of contrasting colour to the hall. I recently stayed atDreams beach in sharm, the hotel itself is good looking enough…. However the food is absolutely unbeilable i have never tasted something so bland in my life….. avoid at all costs, all restaurants here are truly terrible with all the food tasting like nothing, the only dish to half redeems this resorts terrible cuisine was in the fish restaurant and that was only just ok. The coffee was 60le so a little bit on the expensive side but it was very big, Tbs also sell fresh cakes and biscuits 🧇🍪the staff were really friendly. Depending on the size of the room and the view, of course you pay the relevant price. We had two twin beds which made a huge bed for two people although the room can accommodate up to 2 adults and 2 children.

#bucketlistreboot We always enjoy getting boat trips as they tend to explore local islands and allow for a bit of at-sea diving/snorkelling. This particular trip cost us £32.50 inclusive of transfer, snorkelling equipment (however, we had our own), 3 swimming stops, lunch and soft drinks and one 10 min dive. On the boat they made us aware that we can upgrade our diving experience for a little more extra (£15 pp) should we want 25 min of diving. Of course, we haggled for both of us and managed to agree on £25. Unfortunately, Hristina didn’t enjoy diving so it was just me that went for the full 25 min. For an additional fee they can also take photos of you whilst on the boat or diving. Our advice is to wait till the last minute to make sure you get the best discounts before buying them. #sharm #boattrip
