Exploring Nature's Wonders: A Journey Through Yehliu Geopark
#favouriteitinerary
Yehliu Geopark, located in the Wanli District of New Taipei City, is a natural attraction famous for its unique rock formations. This park, built along the coast, boasts a rich geological landscape, including the famous "Queen's Head" rock, which resembles a woman's face wearing a crown. There are also many other uniquely shaped rocks, such as Candle Rock and Tofu Rock, all natural wonders shaped by centuries of weathering and ocean erosion.
When I visited Yehliu for the first time, I was deeply impressed. First, the coastal scenery was breathtaking, with the blue sky meeting the ocean, fresh air, and a sense of peace that was truly refreshing. The rock formations at Yehliu are distinctive, with each stone having its own story and origin, evoking a sense of exploring nature’s mysteries. Particularly in the morning or evening, when the sunlight shines on the rocks, their contours are even more enchanting.
Yehliu Geopark also boasts rich natural ecology, where you might occasionally spot seabirds resting on the rocks or hear the sound of the waves crashing against them. Although it’s a popular tourist spot, due to its vast size and natural landscape, it still offers a sense of tranquility and beauty.
Yehliu is a perfect destination that combines natural wonders with serene beauty, making it ideal for nature enthusiasts and photographers. If you have the chance to visit Taiwan, don't miss this unique geological park.
