🚉 Coffee by the Tracks – A Serene Night at Hoa Xa Cafe, Hanoi
While exploring Hanoi at night, I chanced upon Hoa Xa Cafe, a quiet little spot tucked right beside the railway station. It wasn’t planned, but sometimes the best finds are the ones you stumble upon—and this one definitely fits that category.
I visited late in the evening, so I couldn’t really appreciate the view of the station through the windows. But luck was on my side—midway through my coffee, a train rumbled past, just a few meters away. I quickly stepped outside and managed to snap some great pics and videos. That unexpected moment added a real spark to the visit.
The café itself had a chill, understated vibe, with a setup that would likely feel even more special during the day, when you can see the tracks and surrounding area clearly through the large glass windows.
As for the coffee, it was smooth and well-balanced, though it seemed to be made from arabica beans rather than the more typical local robusta blend. Still, it was enjoyable and served its purpose as a cozy pit stop.

💬 Final Verdict:
Hoa Xa Cafe is a cool little gem, especially for train lovers or anyone looking for a unique, quiet place to unwind in Hanoi. The occasional train passing just outside is a rare treat—daytime visits would offer a better view, but even at night, it had its charm.

🏛️🇹🇷 Hierapolis Archaeology Museum: Echoes of Roman Grandeur
#summervacay
Visiting the Hierapolis Archaeology Museum was an unexpected highlight of my ten-day trip to Turkey! I had initially planned for Pamukkale to be just a quick stop, but little did I know that the museum located within Pamukkale would leave such a profound impression.
Stepping into the Hierapolis Archaeology Museum felt like walking through a time machine. The museum itself is housed within the ruins of the Southern Roman Bath, and its weathered stone walls and magnificent arched ceilings still whisper tales of a thousand years of prosperity and civilization. Every artifact displayed in the halls is like a fragment of history, piecing together the vivid picture of a glorious era that, despite its brilliance, ultimately faded away. It's a truly moving experience.

Budapest's Hidden Gem: The Madame Tussauds Wax Museum! ✨📸
#summervacay
I'm usually not one for super mainstream tourist spots – in Budapest, I didn't even go inside the Parliament building, just admired it from outside! And as for Fisherman's Bastion, I just glimpsed it from across the river! 😉
But one day, while we were just strolling near our hotel, we suddenly spotted a sign for Madame Tussauds Wax Museum – only 200 meters away! That instantly brought back memories of my very first wax museum experience in Amsterdam seven years ago, so my husband and I made a spontaneous decision to check it out!
I can't recall the exact ticket price, but it was roughly €25 per person (we bought a double ticket directly). Before we even went in, the staff gave us a cool heads-up: "Feel free to pose with and touch all the wax figures, just be careful not to damage anything!" How awesome is that?! 🙌
It was such a fun, unexpected detour and a great way to spend some time indoors!

Fort Canning Morning & a Flaky Start at Tiong Bahru Bakery
Started my morning with a walk through Fort Canning Park — peaceful, lush, and layered with history. It’s amazing how this hill in the middle of the city holds stories from Singapore’s ancient past to colonial times. The shady trails, old gates, and quiet corners made it such a refreshing start to the day.
Midway through exploring, I stumbled upon Tiong Bahru Bakery, and naturally, I had to stop. Their croissants are as flaky and buttery as everyone says, and the coffee hit the spot — a perfect surprise break.
Recharged, I continued wandering through the park, past heritage walls and spice gardens, just letting the morning unfold slowly. Sometimes, unplanned mornings turn out to be the best.
