#February travel support event
I didn't really expect much from Budapest, but it was a really great travel destination. It was nice to just walk around without even a schedule,,, so I really wanted to make it into a reel. For those of you who are wondering what to do with your Budapest travel plans, I'll recommend a full 3-day travel course.
🏨Budapest accommodation recommendations
- Novotel Budapest Danube / Affordable hotel with a view of the Parliament Building! Request a view of the Danube River when making a reservation :)
- City Hotel Unio / A 3-star hotel that's spacious and recommended. Recommended for long-term travelers!
📍 Places to visit in Budapest
- Országház, the Parliament Building / The most famous Buda Parliament Building in Budapest! In fact, the view is so famous that I recommend viewing it from across the Danube River. ✔️Recommended view of the Parliament Building: Parliament Viewpoint Parlamenti nézőpont, Batthyány tér H subway station, Novotel Budapest Danube
- Shoes on the Danube River Cipők a Duna-parton / A shoe sculpture commemorating those who lost their lives to the fascists during World War II in front of the Danube River. It is a historical site, so I recommend visiting at least once.
- Buda Castle Budavári Palota / Buda Castle near the Szechenyi Chain Bridge. It is now used as the Hungarian National Museum, and the view is also great.
- New York Café Budapest / A 100-year-old cafe with gorgeous frescoes and chandeliers. It is also considered the most beautiful cafe in the world! There is a waiting line, so I recommend Open Run.
- Széchenyi Baths Széchenyi Gyógyfürdő és Uszoda / Széchenyi Baths are a must-visit when you go to Budapest! However, since it is so crowded with tourists, visit early in the morning :)
- Fisherman's Bastion Halászbástya / It is a 19th-century fortress with a beautiful view. The walk up to the fortress is quiet and nice. I recommend it for the daytime, sunset, and night views.
- Café Gerbeaud Kávéház / It is a gorgeous and beautiful cafe as much as New York Cafe. Why are there so many beautiful old cafes like this in Budapest? 🤭
- Ruin Bars Budapest / I highly recommend Ruin Bars! The atmosphere is hip and perfect for drinking at night. Please note that there is a waiting line on weekends :)
- Béchamel / If you are looking for a brunch restaurant, definitely go hereㅜㅜ They have a variety of brunch options and they are all delicious.
-VakVarjú Restaurant / A place famous among Koreans as a crow restaurant. I went without a reservation and luckily got seated right away. The goulash was really good..! The duck steak pasta was basically all good. The interior was unique and especially good because they played jazz piano.
-Rákóczi Restaurant Rákóczi Étterem / A place with delicious goulash and schnitzel. I sat on the outdoor terrace and the atmosphere was great.
-Kacsa Étterem / A place where all the food was really good and the atmosphere was great. It was especially nice to be able to eat while listening to the violin performance.
-Váci Street (Váci u 38) / A street lined with various brand shops, souvenir shops, and restaurants. If you walk, you can go to the Central Market (Great Market Hall Nagycsarnok).

The most beautiful cafe in the world, a coffee time like a palace "Budapest New York Cafe"
The New York Café in Budapest is known as one of the most beautiful cafés in the world. This century-old cafe is located inside the Anantara New York Palace Hotel. As soon as you step through the door, you can feel the breathtaking splendor. A gorgeous chandelier hangs from the high ceiling, and there are exquisite ceiling murals all around. The overall decoration perfectly blends the Renaissance and Baroque styles, creating an elegant and luxurious atmosphere.
As New York Café is very popular among tourists, it is recommended to make reservations in advance, especially during the peak tourist season, to avoid being disappointed. However, you might as well lower your expectations of service when you visit, after all, the focus here is more on the gorgeous decoration. The price of coffee drinks is about 10 to 12 euros. Although it is expensive overall, just think of it as a ticket to appreciate this classic building.
🔰 Lemon Mousse with Crunchy coffee 12 euros
🔰 New York Chocolate cake 13 euros

Castle and Parliament Wonderland
Buda Castle is a breathtaking landmark that captures the essence of Budapest’s rich history and beauty. Perched high above the Danube River, it offers a panoramic view of the city, especially magical at sunset. As the golden hour approaches, the entire city transforms into a gilded masterpiece, earning Budapest its reputation as the “Gold City.” The view of the Danube, with its iconic bridges and illuminated buildings, is a sight you’ll never forget.
Exploring the castle grounds is a journey through time, with its magnificent architecture and cobblestone pathways leading to hidden courtyards and charming corners. Nearby, the Fisherman’s Bastion adds to the magic with its fairy-tale towers and stunning vistas. From its terraces, you can enjoy unparalleled views of the Hungarian Parliament, the Chain Bridge, and the sprawling cityscape, glowing warmly under the evening sun.
The combination of history, architecture, and natural beauty makes Buda Castle a must-visit destination. Whether you’re strolling through the castle grounds, taking photos at the Fisherman’s Bastion, or simply soaking in the ambiance, every moment here feels like a dream. Don’t miss the sunset; it’s truly an unforgettable experience that highlights the city’s charm and elegance.
