Winter Wandering in Vancouver – Cozy Streets & Steam Clock Stops
#cityplaybook
Vancouver in winter has a quiet kind of charm. The skies may be grey, but the streets are full of character—from historic corners to stylish cafés, it’s the kind of city that feels just right for slow wandering and warm drinks.
One of my favorite spots? The Gastown Steam Clock, which lets out a gentle puff of steam every 15 minutes. It’s quirky, a little nostalgic, and surrounded by cobblestone streets that make you want to explore more.
Café hopping here is a must. Whether you’re into minimalist Scandinavian vibes or cozy corner cafés with local pastries, there’s always a perfect cup waiting ☕️ I found myself stopping often—sometimes just to warm my hands, other times to stay for hours with a book.
And really, that’s the beauty of Vancouver. You don’t need a packed schedule. Just walking, looking up, and taking in the city is half the joy.
Why I recommend Vancouver:
・It’s incredibly walkable, with something to discover on every block
・The balance of nature and city is perfect—even in the quiet of winter

A Snowy Day in Sapporo – Cold Hands, Warm Food & Sweet Finds☃️
#cityplaybook
Sapporo in the snow feels like stepping into a winter postcard. The city is quiet and cozy, but there’s so much to explore—especially around Sapporo Station, where everything from history to hot meals is just a short walk away.
I started the day admiring the snowy streets, with big flakes falling over the rooftops. There’s something magical about watching a city slow down under a fresh coat of snow.
A quick stop at the Sapporo Clock Tower gave me a glimpse into the city’s history—and it looks especially charming in winter. For lunch, I headed to Suage, a local favorite for soup curry. The broth was rich, the toppings were hearty, and I highly recommend adding cheese to your rice. Game changer!
Later on, I browsed gifts at Rokkatei, a famous sweets shop near the station. Their packaging is as beautiful as the treats inside—perfect for souvenirs (and for snacking on the train).
To end the day, I had sushi at Nemuro Hanamaru inside the station building. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and surprisingly affordable. It’s the kind of place where you want to try “just one more plate”… five times.
Why I recommend Sapporo in winter:
・Snow turns the city into something seriously special—peaceful, bright, and beautiful
・The food is hearty, local, and full of soul—perfect for warming up between adventures

Frost & Found: Chasing Christmas Magic in Hamburg
Hamburg in December? Pure magic! Christmas markets glow, the scent of Glühwein fills the air, and every corner feels like a holiday postcard.
I wandered through Speicherstadt, watched the harbor lights twinkle, and devoured warm Franzbrötchen (you have to try one!).
Tip: Dress warm and explore on foot—this city is full of surprises. Just make sure to wear your most comfy shoes!
