A Peaceful Day in Nature’s Embrace: Anseong Farmland
Location: 28, Gongdo-gil, Gongdo-eup, Anseong-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea
Best Time to Visit: Spring (April–May) and Autumn (September–October)
There’s something incredibly grounding about spending a day away from city life—and for me, Anseong Farmland offered that much-needed reset. Nestled just an hour and a half from Seoul, this beautiful stretch of rural land in Gyeonggi-do blends nature, animals, and fun activities in a way that’s perfect for all ages.
When I visited in early October, the weather was crisp, the leaves were just starting to turn, and the air smelled of earth and harvest. The wide open spaces instantly made me breathe deeper. What I loved most was how interactive the whole experience was—this wasn’t just a "look and see" kind of place. I got to feed sheep and deer, milk a cow (yes, really!), and even try my hand at horse-riding, which was equal parts thrilling and calming.
The highlight of my visit, though, was simply walking through the fields of golden cosmos and sunflowers. With the gentle hills rolling out into the horizon, the views were nothing short of magical—especially during sunset. I snapped some of my favorite photos here, and they still take me back to that peaceful moment.
Anseong Farmland also features seasonal festivals like the Tulip Festival in spring and the Harvest Festival in autumn, so time your visit accordingly! If you’re going with kids, the tractor rides, small amusement park, and petting zoo are perfect. For adults, the slower pace and pastoral charm are a welcome break from city noise.
Pro tip: Bring a picnic mat, some snacks, and your camera—you’ll want to stay longer than you planned.
