I visited Mljet while island hopping along the coast of Croatia. Honestly for me, it was one of the most beautiful Croatian islands that I visited. The island has beautiful crystal clear lakes and pristine forests, with many hiking trails. I stayed in a quaint guesthouse with a beautiful view from the balcony (see last picture). One of the most enjoyable hiking days ever and after a long and tiring hike it was wonderful to be able to take a dip in one of the lakes and cool off beautifully clear water. In Mljet National Park, there are two large lakes, one of which has an island in the middle with old monastery buildings, there are ferries that run regularly and it’s a beautiful place to explore and enjoy a coffee and maybe something to eat in the café located in the old monastery buildings #celebrateit #mljet #Croatia

One of the best sunsets of my life I saw on Mljet Island in Croatia when I stayed there. The sky was so red it almost looked like it was on fire and hearing the sound of the waves while watching the sunset was a truly magical experience. #celebrateit #mljet #Croatia

If you’re visiting Croatia and want to do some island hopping. I would definitely recommend visiting Mljet. Many tourists come for day trips from Dubrovnik to visit the beautiful national park, but if you can stay you really get to appreciate the serenity and tranquility of this exceptionally beautiful island. #celebrateit #mljet #Croatia

Okay, so Guesthouse Kiko is on the more budget end and certainly not luxury apartments, however the rooms are comfortable, clean and functional. What really makes this Guesthouse stand out is the stunningly beautiful views from the balcony, which are absolutely priceless. You could pay a fortune anywhere else for this kind of view. And all just the Stone so from the beautiful Mljet National Park. Mljet Island and Guesthouse Kiko are a great place for that romantic getaway or even to celebrate honeymoon, that won’t break the bank. #celebrateit #mljet #croatia #island
