Blackbird is an elegant art deco restaurant in the historic Nielsen Tower. This building used to be the old airport control tower and the restaurant has preserved the original architecuture. It is a great place to spend time with friends for an good slow lunch or dinner. The main dining room is well lit and tables are spaced apart so it is not so cramped. The menu changes seasonally and this lunch did not disappoint. I enjoyed the beef tenderloin main and hazelnut semifreddo. Stay in Lubd. They're lowcost and is actually a hostel chain around here in south east asia. It's best to book a dormitory bed with free/complimentary breafast or if you have a companion for the trip there like I did, book a deluxe king or twin room with them. The price of the latter may be higher but it would make your stay there even more comfortable. Lubd is a hostel so you can socialize with other guests there if you feel like. Check out CHICHA San Chen if you're into milk tea or boba like me. It's only a few steps away from the Ayala Triangle where you can later stroll in or chill going into the late afternoon to night time. What I got from CHICHA San Chen is their Cassia Black Tea with milk (because I'm basic. haha) and it's something I can definitely recommend to anyone reading this! Ending this abruptly here. Hotel room is nice, neat and clean, huge beds can fit 4 to 5 people. Variety of restaurants to choose from. Nice swimming pool. As soon as the plane landed, the unique Southeast Asian hot and sticky air mixed with the strong scent of perfume made people feel a little dazed but certain that they had arrived at their destination. Most travelers still have some concerns about the traffic and public security in the Philippines, but this travel experience feels the same as in ordinary big cities. As long as you are careful not to show your wealth and don't travel at night, it is still quite safe. The stay was very short, only two days. The journey started from the fashionable and modern Makati and BGC, then went to the colonial-style Spanish Intramuros to see the famous Manila Cathedral, and then took a walk through Rizal Park to Manila Bay to see the famous million-dollar sunset. I was deeply touched by the complex and conflicting diversity of this country. You may be in a modern office building one minute, and travel back a hundred years to ancient Europe the next corner; you may see dilapidated slums on the roadside in the last second, and be in a bar street full of lights and music the next moment. For travelers, such a collision is only an impressive and interesting experience; but for locals, it seems to be reflected in their blood: for locals who live happily in the present, worrying seems unrealistic. After all, even the scenery that will appear in the next second is unknown, so why bother thinking about whether the troubles will appear in the next second!
