💡 Must-Know Tips
⚠️ The cable car isn’t right at Leidongping! Be prepared to walk 1.5km uphill first.
🚗 Driving? You’ll have to switch to the sightseeing bus anyway midway. Don’t bother driving.
🥾 Want to hike all the way? You can! Start at Baoguo Temple and be prepared for 13 hours to the summit. Hardcore but possible 💪
🍜 Food? No worries! Leidongping has decent restaurants, and temples along the way offer vegetarian meals. Lots of snacks on the trail too!
We did the Cable car + partial hike through cultural/scenic trail and able to finish it within 6 hours.
🎯 Plan smart, check weather, and don’t forget your power bank – this is one of China’s most unforgettable mountain experiences!

Walking in Wutai Mountain during the May Day holiday|Dazhi Road paved with 1,080 steps
Mount Wutai, as the first of the four famous Buddhist mountains in China, is the place of practice for Manjusri Bodhisattva. The town is dotted with "Big Manjusri Halls" of all sizes. The most popular one is definitely the Five Directions Manjusri Hall located at "Dailuo Peak". It enshrines the Dharmakaya invited from the five peaks of Mount Wutai. Coming to Dailuo Peak is equivalent to climbing all five peaks. It is called "Small Chaotai" and is very auspicious❤️
But it is not so easy to reach the top. You have to start from Dazhi Road at the foot of the mountain and climb 1,080 steps to reach the top. It is really very breathless. There are many devout believers along the way who kneel every three steps and step up every nine steps. 👍
As soon as you climb up to Dailuoding, you will feel suddenly enlightened, and the view overlooking the entire Taihuai Town will make you feel very happy. I highly recommend everyone to come and take a look if you have the chance!

Nanjing Niushou mountain Half day trip
A recent visit to Niushou Mountain in Nanjing was a truly memorable experience. Nestled amidst lush greenery, this scenic spot beautifully blends natural beauty, cultural heritage, and spiritual serenity.
As the location is slightly far from the town, we took local Didi to reach there. Entrance tickets can pre purchase at trip.com or purchase on the spot. We bought the bus ticket to send us to the Foding palace as the whole area is too big and will take time to walk up.
During the spring, the natural scenery was breathtaking, with an abundance of beautiful flowers in full bloom.
The traditional structure of Foding temple and the
morden structure of Foding palace are just side by side. The Foding palace are quite similar to Singapore's esplanade. The inner part of the Foding palace is very grand and full of peacefulness. You can really feel the inner peace while visiting this place.
There is a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation at Niushou Mountain, it offers visitors an opportunity to explore both nature's beauty and spiritual tranquility. Whether you're a history enthusiast, nature lover, or spiritual seeker, Niushou Mountain promises a unique and enriching experience.
Will recommend spending one day here as the area is too big, we were rushing for time as the place is closing. There are a few vegetarian restaurants which smell nice when passing thru but unfortunately have no time to try out. Was planning to visit Jingling town nearby but did not operate on the day of visit, will find a chance to go there again.
