Lush Bali Escapes🌿
Ready for the ultimate Bali vibes? 🌴✨ Here’s my quick guide to some of Bali’s most stunning spots: sweeping cliffs, emerald rice terraces, and magical temples you won’t want to miss!
Top Spots to Visit:
1. Karang Boma Cliff (Unnamed Road, Pecatu, South Kuta, Badung Regency, Bali, Indonesia, open all day)
An absolute must for epic sunset selfies and wild ocean views. Get here before sunset for uncrowded epicness! FYI, there’s little shade, so pack water and a hat!
2. Tegallalang Rice Terrace (Jl. Raya Tegallalang, Tegallalang, Gianyar, Bali 80561, open 8:00 AM–6:00 PM, IDR 22,000 admission)
Perfect for a morning walk through iconic terraced fields. Early birds get mystical mist and fewer crowds. Don’t forget to snap those lush green shots! Some cafés overlook the paddies — grab a coconut or lunch here for a chill midday break.
3. Tirta Empul Temple (Tampaksiring, Gianyar Regency, Bali 80552, open 8:00 AM–6:00 PM)
Famous for its holy spring water purification ritual. Rent a sarong at the entrance to respect temple tradition. Go early or late to avoid bus tours and get a peaceful experience.
Getting Around:
Hire a local driver for the day or use Bali’s ride-hailing apps — way smoother than public buses! Visiting all three spots is totally doable in one day if you start early.
Food Tip:
Try “ayam betutu” (spiced chicken) at a warung near Tegallalang — super flavorful and local-approved!
Extra Bali Tips:
Cash is king at small spots. Weather? Humid all year — lightweight clothes rule. No visa for most tourists under 30 days, but confirm current rules before you go!

Edge of the World: My Solo Trip to the Cliffs of Moher, Ireland
#mytraveldiary
Rising 700 feet above the wild Atlantic, the Cliffs of Moher are more than a natural wonder—they’re a raw, emotional experience. For solo travelers, standing on the edge of these iconic sea cliffs offers a powerful sense of freedom, perspective, and connection to the untamed beauty of Ireland.
My Solo Itinerary:
· Morning – Early Arrival & Solitude: Took an early bus from Galway or Limerick to arrive before the crowds. Started at the Visitor Centre (built into the hillside) for context, then walked south toward Hag’s Head. This stretch is quieter, with uninterrupted views and the sound of crashing waves and seabirds.
· Midday – O’Brien’s Tower & Cliffs Walk: Hiked north to O’Brien’s Tower, the highest viewing point. Climbed to the top for 360-degree views of the cliffs, the Aran Islands, and the Twelve Bens mountain range. Continued along the safe, paved path, feeling the wind and watching puffins (April-July) nesting on the cliff face.
· Afternoon – Coastal Path & Reflection: For the adventurous, walked a portion of the Cliffs Coastal Trail toward Doolin. Found a safe spot to sit (away from the edge!), ate a packed lunch, and simply absorbed the magnitude of the landscape. Ended the visit at the Cliffs Viewpoint near the center for classic photo angles.
Why the Cliffs of Moher are Perfect for Solo Travelers:
· Well-Supported & Safe: Clearly marked paths, safety barriers where needed, and a helpful visitor center.
· Easy to Visit Solo: Regular buses from major cities; no need for a car. Audio guides are available for self-paced exploration.
· Emotional & Inspiring: An ideal place for introspection, photography, or simply being present in nature’s grandeur.
· Flexible Experience: You can make it a quick 2-hour stop or a full day of hiking along the coastal trail.
Tips for Your Visit:
· 🧥 Wear windproof/waterproof layers—weather changes instantly.
· 👟 Sturdy shoes are essential, especially if hiking the coastal trail.
· 📱 Fully charge your phone/camera—you’ll want to capture every angle.
· 🚌 Check bus schedules in advance—last departures can be early.
The Cliffs of Moher remind you of your place in the world—small, yet profoundly connected to something vast and beautiful.

Where the Land Ends: My Solo Trip to Cabo da Roca
#mytraveldiary
I just stood at the edge of the world — or at least, the edge of Europe. Cabo da Roca is a wild, windswept cape where towering cliffs plunge into the Atlantic Ocean, and the only thing between you and America is 3,000 km of sea. It was a solo journey of raw nature, reflection, and breathtaking beauty.
What Makes Cabo da Roca Special?
· Westernmost Point of Mainland Europe: Marked by a stone monument and a lighthouse.
· Dramatic Landscapes: Cliffs over 140 meters high, crashing waves, and sweeping ocean views.
· Symbolic Significance: The famous plaque quotes Portuguese poet Luís de Camões: “Where the land ends and the sea begins.”
· Sunset Magic: One of the most stunning places in Portugal to watch the sun dip into the Atlantic.
Why Cabo da Roca for Solo Travelers?
· Safe & Accessible: Well-maintained paths, railings, and a visitor center.
· Ideal for Reflection: The power of the ocean and vastness of the horizon inspire deep thought.
· Photography Paradise: Unforgettable shots of cliffs, lighthouse, and endless sea.
· Easy Day Trip: Just 40 minutes from Sintra or 1 hour from Lisbon.
---
My Solo Itinerary
Morning: Journey to the Edge
· Took a Scotturb bus from Sintra (or drove from Lisbon) to Cabo da Roca.
· Visited the tourist center to get my passport stamped (a fun souvenir!).
· Walked along the cliff paths (stayed behind safety barriers!) and breathed in the salty air.
Afternoon: Coastal Walks & Lighthouse Views
· Hiked part of the Rota Vicentina or Sintra-Cascais Natural Park trails.
· Picnicked on local snacks — brought cheese, bread, and fruit from Sintra.
· Visited the lighthouse (exterior only — not open to the public) and read the Camões plaque.
Evening: Sunset & Return
· Stayed for sunset — the sky turned gold, pink, and purple over the ocean.
· Caught the last bus back to Sintra (check schedules!) or returned to Lisbon.
· If driving, stopped in Cascais for fresh seafood by the sea.
---
Solo Traveler Tips
1. Dress in Layers: It’s often windy and cooler than in Lisbon — bring a jacket.
2. Wear Sturdy Shoes: The paths can be rocky and uneven.
3. Check Bus Times: Public transport is limited — plan ahead to avoid getting stranded.
4. Respect the Edge: Stay behind safety barriers — cliffs are unstable and dangerous.
---
Final Thoughts
Cabo da Roca was a humbling and exhilarating experience — standing where continents end and oceans begin, I felt both tiny and connected to something vast and eternal. For solo travelers seeking perspective, peace, and raw natural beauty, this place is a must.
