🌆 Chongqing: Skyline glows and trains fly! 🚄
🗓️Itinerary: 2N3D in Chongqing
Felt like stepping into a cyberpunk dream!!
🚉 The Liziba Train Station — yes, the one where the monorail zooms through an apartment block — was surreal and totally worth the stop. 🌉 We explored the city mostly by Didi, which was super convenient and affordable for getting around the steep, multi-level streets.
🏠 Our stay at Xyan Garden (booked on Trip.com!) was a gem — the host was incredibly welcoming, and the room was on a rooftop apartment right by Jiefangbei, with stunning views of the city skyline. ✨ Perfect spot for both sunrise chills and night photography!
Don’t leave without trying authentic Chongqing huoguo — spicy, numbing, and ridiculously addictive. And when night falls, take a stroll through Jiefangbei: neon-lit streets, futuristic vibes, and non-stop energy.
🔥 Highly recommend Chongqing for urban adventurers and photographers!

Chongqing’s Secret Maze: A Night Lost in 下浩里
#springitinerary #下浩里 #ChongqingNights #老重庆 #复古街头 #历史街区 #迷路也浪漫 #下浩夜游 #重庆旅行 #HiddenChongqing #城市探险
Wandering through 下浩里 at night felt like stepping into a forgotten chapter of Chongqing’s history. The dimly lit alleys, flickering neon signs, and the quiet hum of the old town created a cinematic kind of vibe — mysterious, nostalgic, and oddly calming.
I actually got lost in the maze-like lanes (in a good way!). Every corner seemed to open into something unexpected — an old shop, a hand-painted mural, a staircase leading to nowhere. It felt like the city was whispering stories from the past, and I was there to listen.
There weren’t many people around, just a few locals and the occasional cat slinking through the alley. The stillness added to the magic. This isn’t a place you rush through. It’s where you stroll, pause, and soak in the mood — even if you’re a little lost.
Travel Tips and How to Get There:
• Best time to visit: Night for that atmospheric charm, but bring a friend if you don’t want to get too lost
• Getting there:
• By Metro: Line 6, get off at Shangxinjie Station (上新街站)
• By car: Taxi or ride-hailing apps are convenient at night
• Footwear: Grippy shoes — the slopes and old stone paths can be slippery
From Quiet Corners to a Neon Wonderland – The Two Faces of Hongya Cave
#springitinerary #洪崖洞 #HongyaCave #ChongqingNights #MagicalChina #CityOfLights #洪崖洞夜景 #重庆旅行 #TravelWithContrast #重庆地标 #ExploreChina #NightViewGoals
I visited Hongya Cave both in the morning and at night, and honestly, it felt like two completely different worlds.
In the morning, the place was calm and almost serene. You could actually take your time to explore the ancient-style architecture, peek into souvenir shops, and stroll around without bumping into crowds. Great for slow photography and appreciating the structure itself.
But when night falls—wow, it transforms into a neon-lit wonderland. The entire building glows with warm amber lights, resembling scenes from a Ghibli movie or a fantasy game world. Crowds buzz with excitement, and the view from the nearby bridge becomes absolutely magical. If you’re a photographer or just love beautiful cityscapes, night is the time to be here.
If you can, do both. But if you only have time for one — go at night.
Travel Tips and How to Get There:
• Best time to visit:
• At night — lights turn on around 6:30–7 PM
• Visit around sunset if you want both day and night shots
• What to bring:
• Phone or camera with night mode
• Power bank — you’ll be taking photos non-stop
• Light jacket if visiting during cooler seasons
• Must-dos:
• Walk along the viewing deck or nearby bridges for the best panoramic shots
• Try the street snacks and small bites — lots of local flavor
• Explore the interior floors for quirky shops and eateries
• Extra tip:
• Avoid weekends if you prefer fewer crowds
• Go early in the evening to secure a good photo spot
How to Get There:
• By subway:
• Take Chongqing Metro Line 1 to Xiaoshizi Station, then walk about 5 minutes
• By taxi or Didi:
• Search “洪崖洞” and be dropped at the main entrance or viewing bridge
• On foot:
• Easily walkable from Jiefangbei area if you’re staying nearby
Misty Nights on the Mountain City Trail (山城步道)
Visited Chongqing’s 山城步道 after sundown while it was lightly drizzling — and honestly, the misty, rain-slicked paths made the whole experience feel cinematic. The glowing street lamps, old stone steps, and layers of city lights in the distance gave the place a moody charm that photos can’t quite capture.
The trail starts near Jiaojiakou Station, Exit 5, but don’t be fooled — it’s a good 8-minute walk up a gentle slope before you actually reach the start. Still, the uphill effort was worth it.
Even in the rain and darkness, this trail was beautiful — quiet, atmospheric, and full of character. A lovely contrast to Chongqing’s usual urban buzz.
