Museum of Contemporary Sculpture – Quiet, Green & Totally Free
#freemuseumdays
Hidden in a quiet residential area of Meguro, the Museum of Contemporary Sculpture is a peaceful escape where you can enjoy modern art in harmony with nature.
Admission is completely free—just sign your name at the entrance and you’re welcome to explore both the indoor and outdoor exhibits. The museum garden is especially lovely, with sculptures scattered among trees and flowers. It’s a perfect spot for a slow, reflective afternoon.
If you love art and quiet places, this hidden gem is for you.
Why I recommend this museum:
・Free entry with just a simple sign-in
・A unique blend of art and nature in a serene setting
・Far from the crowds—great for a calm day out

Outdoor Art Space - Lee Ufan Museum- Naoshima
The Lee Ufan Museum is a collaboration between the famous artist Lee Ufan and architect Tadao Ando. It is located in a valley between ocean and hill on Naoshima island.
The museum is in a tranquil open space facing the sea which is a perfect space to enjoy art and spend time relaxing.
To get there, you can take the #2 bus from Miyanoura port, and get off at the last stop - Tsutsuji-so (¥100). Then wait for the free Benesse House shuttle bus which takes you to the Chichu Museum, stopping at the Lee Ufan Museum. It is a very short ride. Alternatively you can make the first visit at the Chichu museum, then walk downhill for 3 minutes to the Lee Ufan Museum. Walking to the museum is also possible from the Tsutsuji- so bus stop. It will be take about 20 minutes uphill but it gets quite hot in the summer as there is no shade. #naoshima

You can visit this place and learning about outdoor art gallery of the Mythical God & Buddhism Religion.
There is a lot of statues inside the park, the most iconic statues that I had seen is The Otherworld Experiences.
The 10 Courts of Hell, the art is a little bit frightening when you see it. You will feel yourself immerse in hell itself.
