First stop: Windsor Castle We set out from central London early in the morning and first arrived at Windsor Castle, the symbol of the British royal family. The oldest continuously inhabited castle in the world, this stunning castle has been an important part of British history since its construction in the 11th century. There are countless art treasures on display in the castle, and you can also see the changing of guard ceremony. The solemnity and sense of ritual really make people feel the charm of royal culture! Second stop: Stonehenge Then we took a short drive to the mysterious Stonehenge. This prehistoric site is not only a miracle that is incomprehensible to modern people, but also a cultural heritage that integrates astronomy, religion and history. Although you can't get close to touch them, you can still feel their grandeur and magnificence by looking at the neatly arranged circles of boulders from a distance. The Roman Baths After visiting Stonehenge, we headed to the charming town of Bath to explore its most famous landmark, the Roman Baths. The moment I walked into the bathhouse, it felt like I had traveled back two thousand years. What attracted me most was the large bathing pool in the atrium. The emerald green hot spring water was misty and surrounded by elegant stone columns and Romanesque arches. It was as beautiful as a painting! In the Sacred Spring area of ​​the museum, you can see the prayer items that people offered at that time and feel the deep significance of this place as a spiritual place. Interestingly, after the tour, you can even try the hot spring water! Although it has a bit of a mineral taste, it is said to be good for health (laughs), and it is certainly an interesting experience. At the end of the trip, we had some free time. I chose to wander around the nearby streets and take some photos to end the entire tour. This one-day trip was really rewarding. Windsor Castle is one of the residences of Queen Elizabeth of England. Since you are in London, of course you have to visit this century-old castle and station in the suburbs. Now it has become a large shopping mall and a historic train station. The nearby businesses usually open at almost 10am. We ordered coffee and bacon and tomato bread (freshly baked and delicious) here. I have drunk almost a year's worth of Taiwanese coffee in the UK and even know what a flat white is. The weather in Bath is much warmer than London. There are endless souvenir shops here. It is very comfortable to walk on the streets. We actually ate authentic Italian gelato in the UK 🥹😘🍦🍨 We ordered chocolate, strawberry, and peach flavors. The peach flavor was unexpectedly delicious 🥳🤩😋 In fact, this store is not expensive, only £4.5 for two flavors Now I really want to stay in London for a month. For breakfast, we buy milk and chocolate oatmeal to eat in the hotel, or stock up on some bread. For dinner, we have wolfberry vegetarian noodles (delicious) and three bowls of instant noodles brought from Taiwan PX Mart. Because eating out is too expensive, we also went to Chinatown to buy Master Kong beef noodles. Because the hotel we stayed in was not located in the center of London, the prices at the nearby fried chicken shops and convenience stores were much cheaper. Sometimes I would leisurely go out and buy six chicken cutlets or chicken legs with a Coke to eat at home, which was cheaper than eating out. However England spring time is just as magical! 🌸🌷🇬🇧 Just an hour drive or train from central London, Savil gardens in Virginia waters makes you feel as though you are Alice in Wonderland! 🐇♥️ Park in the car park or arrive from Virgina water train station 🚉, Savil gardens is easily accessible with toilets and picnic tables. It is a huge park, close to Windsor great park (home to the royal Windsor castle 🏰 and Eton college) so it can be made into a full day out easily. Throughout the gardens you can find lovely views and little paths covered in fallen petals, so white it looks like snow! It’s never been busy so there are lots of perfect photo opportunities where you don’t feel pressured to move. All outdoors so you don’t need to wear a mask. I love the feeling of magic and seclusion here, it’s one of my favourite places to visit in the spring time (and you don’t have to pay to enter!) You can enter from the main carpark or I like to walk in past the Bailiwick pub and head straight to the lake, past the polo fields on the right hand side. Part of the fun is exploring it for yourself!
