Gardens by the Bay – Singapore’s Futuristic Eden
#cityplaybook
Singapore is a city that blends innovation with nature in the most spectacular ways—and nowhere is that more breathtakingly evident than at Gardens by the Bay. The first time I walked beneath the towering Supertrees, I felt like I had stepped into another planet—lush, glowing, and alive with wonder. This wasn’t just a garden; it was a full sensory experience.
What mattered most to me was how Gardens by the Bay manages to inspire awe while teaching sustainability. In the Cloud Forest Dome, I was greeted by the world’s tallest indoor waterfall, misting over a towering green mountain filled with rare plants. I wandered up the cloud walkways, surrounded by orchids and ferns, with views that felt like floating through a jungle in the sky.
The Flower Dome was equally stunning—an ever-changing display of global floral themes, from tulips to cacti, each with their own carefully curated landscape. But the true highlight was returning at night for the Garden Rhapsody Light and Sound Show at the Supertree Grove. Standing beneath the glowing giants as they danced to music was one of the most surreal and beautiful experiences of my travels.
Best time to visit? Go in the late afternoon to explore the domes before sunset, then stay for the light show at 7:45 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. The gardens are spectacular year-round, but December adds a festive glow with special Christmas-themed displays.
Helpful tips: Entry to the outdoor gardens is free, but the domes and OCBC Skyway require tickets—booking online can save time. It’s easily accessible via Bayfront MRT Station, and don’t miss the Dragonfly Lake for serene waterside views and photo ops.
Location: Gardens by the Bay, 18 Marina Gardens Dr, Singapore

Tichuca Rooftop Bar: Bangkok’s Urban Jungle Escape
#springitinerary
Perched atop Bangkok's T-One Building, Tichuca Rooftop Bar offers a unique blend of tropical ambiance and panoramic city views. Its standout feature—a towering LED-lit "tree"—creates a mesmerizing centerpiece, especially as the sun sets over the skyline. While the venue's design and atmosphere are undeniably captivating, some visitors have noted that the cocktails, priced around 400–500 baht, may not meet expectations in terms of quality. Additionally, the bar's popularity among social media enthusiasts can lead to crowded spaces, particularly during peak hours. For those seeking a visually stunning setting and vibrant energy, Tichuca delivers; however, those prioritizing mixology might explore other options.

Spring Grows Here: A Green Café Escape in Wuhan
#springwander
Wuhan in spring is all about fresh starts—and there’s no better place to feel it than inside a café blooming with green. Tucked away from the city’s hum, this plant-filled sanctuary feels more like a greenhouse dream than a coffee shop. Ferns dangle from the ceiling, monstera leaves fan out beside cozy tables, and sunlight pours through glass walls like golden silk.
The scent of espresso mingles with earthy moss and fresh flowers. Each corner of the space is alive—potted herbs line the windowsills, while hanging ivy and lemon trees form a lush canopy above. Even the furniture leans into nature: wooden textures, rattan chairs, ceramic plates with leaf prints. It’s a garden, a café, a retreat—all in one.
As spring breeze drifts in through open doors, you can sip matcha lattes and herbal teas while listening to the soft rustle of leaves. It’s a slow rhythm here—people journaling, catching up in whispers, or simply soaking in the green calm.
In a fast-paced city, this spot is a gentle reminder to breathe deeper, look closer, and embrace the season’s quiet renewal. It’s spring, served with a splash of green.
