coffee experience in sydney
We love the coffee scene in Australia and do beyond just flat whites. During our recent trip to Sydney, we tried several places and found this one to be the best. The staff were genuinely friendly, and the cozy, charming vibe of the place made it even better. I had a milk coffee, which had a rich coffee aroma and flavor.
While the milk wasn’t as smooth as I’d hoped, I could still taste the essence of the coffee, which I really appreciated. The long black was a standout a nice touch of acidity with deep, aromatic notes that exceeded my expectations. If the milk had been just a bit creamier, it would’ve been perfect

The 2,200-Year-Old Bronze Chariots of the first Emperor of China
#postandearn
Bronze Chariots of the first Emperor of China. They were moved into to its new bunker-like Bronze Museum in 2021. They were displayed with the Terracotta Army Relic’s Hall before.
They were unearthed in fragments and over 3000 pieces per chariot. Each chariot weighs over 1 ton.
Found in 1980, 20 meters west of Qin Shi Huang’s tomb mound. They are made as Ceremonial “soul vehicles" for the emperor’s afterlife .
REMEMBER: This is not in the terracotta army site, you need to go back at the entrance/exit gate coz the free shuttle bus going to the chariots are parked there.
Once you arrive at the site, you will need to take another shuttle /golf cart to take you around the place, only 15 rmb for the hop on and hop off cart. The chariots will be one of the stops.

Fontainebleau Palace – A Journey Through French Royal History
#postandearn
#localguides #attractive
#postandearn #Fontainebleau #FranceTravel #PalaceOfFontainebleau #HistoricalFrance #UNESCOWorldHeritage
Visiting Fontainebleau Palace was like stepping into the grandeur of France’s royal past. Located just an hour from Paris, this UNESCO World Heritage site has been home to French monarchs for over seven centuries, from kings to emperors. Walking through its vast courtyards, elegant arches, and richly decorated halls, I felt immersed in layers of history that shaped France.
The first thing that struck me was the Horseshoe Staircase – its dramatic curves leading up to the grand entrance, famously used by Napoleon before his exile. Inside, the Gallery of Francis I amazed me with its Renaissance frescoes and intricate woodwork, each panel telling stories of art, mythology, and power. The Throne Room, still arranged as Napoleon left it, carries a quiet dignity that resonates with the palace’s imperial past.
Outside, the formal gardens were peaceful and spacious, lined with chestnut trees, fountains, and ornamental lakes reflecting the sky. I spent an hour simply strolling along the Grand Parterre, enjoying views of the palace’s graceful façade from different angles.
✅ Practical Tips:
– Take the train from Paris Gare de Lyon to Fontainebleau-Avon station and a quick bus to the palace.
– Entry includes palace rooms and gardens; audio guides are worth it for historical context.
– Visit early morning to avoid crowds and enjoy photography in soft light.
– Allocate at least 3-4 hours to explore thoroughly.
📍 Fontainebleau is perfect for those who love art, architecture, and French history without the heavy crowds of Versailles. It’s an elegant yet intimate window into centuries of royal life, making it one of my favourite historical day trips from Paris.
😍The best customised French limp balm in Japan
This is a very old French company specialising in perfume that also sells customised lip balm and hair brushes. The line for them in Paris is so crazy and you need to make an advance appointment. But here is small hint for you: Japan has many branches of this shops in many Japanese cities and there you can get the same service and units as in France!
First, the shop itself really worth visiting, it’s like a museum full of beautiful perfume with amazing ceiling and walls. Then you select your colors for the lip balm cover and case, give them your name and they do calligraphy in front of you. Then you come back in half in hour to collect your order. The packaging will impress you too!
A must visit place!

One of top 3 caves to visit in Sam Roi Yot National Park
#postandearn #thailand #prachuapkhirikhan
Visiting Sai Cave in Sam Roi Yot National Park was an adventure that really paid off. The 30-minute uphill hike to reach it was challenging at times, with some steep sections that got my heart pumping, but every step was worth it. When I finally reached the cave entrance, I was completely awestruck by the massive cavern opening up before me, with beams of natural light streaming dramatically through the ceiling.
Inside, the cave felt like a hidden underground cathedral. The temperature dropped noticeably, providing a refreshing break from the tropical heat as I explored the impressive rock formations. What struck me most was the incredible play of light and shadow across the ancient stone surfaces - it created this almost mystical atmosphere that made me want to linger.
While the climb back down required some careful footing, I found myself smiling the whole way. This wasn't just another tourist stop - it was a proper adventure that left me with a real sense of accomplishment. If you're up for a physical challenge and want to experience one of Thailand's most spectacular natural wonders, Sai Cave delivers in every way. Just remember to wear proper shoes and bring water!
Tip: they will lend you a big flashlight for 40 baht by the entrance.
One of the best caves in Sam Roi Yot national Park
#postandearn #thailand #prachuapkhirikhan
Exploring Kaew Cave in Sam Roi Yot National Park was an adventure unlike any other. This is one of the wildest caves I’ve been to—no artificial lighting or walkways, just raw, natural passages where you have to crawl, squeeze through tight spots, and climb over rocks. It felt like proper spelunking, and I loved every minute of it. The route is well-marked with arrows, so you won’t get lost, but it’s still challenging enough to keep things exciting.
Since there’s no electricity inside, you’ll definitely need a flashlight. Luckily, you can borrow one at the cave entrance for just 40 baht, which is super convenient. The darkness inside is intense, and as you move deeper, the only sounds are dripping water and the occasional bat fluttering overhead. Some sections are narrow, so if you’re claustrophobic, this might not be for you. But if you’re up for it, the experience is incredibly rewarding.
What really struck me was how untouched the cave felt—no handrails, no safety nets, just pure exploration. The stalactites and stalagmites are stunning, especially when your flashlight catches their glimmer. If you’re visiting Sam Roi Yot, don’t miss Kaew Cave—just wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty and bring a sense of adventure!
Turtuk village - hidden gem of Nurba valley
#postandearn #india #nurbavalley
#cityplaybook #ladakh #nurbavalley #india
Visiting Turtuk Village in Nubra Valley felt like stepping into another world. This remote settlement is literally the last village foreigners can visit before the Pakistan border, giving it this special frontier atmosphere. There turned out to be way more to explore than we expected - we ended up spending hours wandering around.
The highlight was hiking up to the viewpoint through the village's maze of ancient stone alleyways. Winding past traditional Balti houses, we emerged into stunning terraced farms and orchards bursting with blossoms - apricot, walnut and poplar trees all flowering beautifully in spring. The contrast between the lush greenery and rugged mountain backdrop was incredible.
What makes Turtuk unique is its mix of cultures and landscapes - one moment you're in what feels like medieval stone pathways, the next you're surrounded by vibrant fields with snow peaks towering above.
A perfect place to experience Ladakh's quieter, agricultural side away from the tourist trail. Just remember your camera - every corner here is postcard-worthy.
Pro tip: The afternoon light makes the fields glow golden - ideal for photography. And wear good shoes for those cobbled village paths!

Grace and History: A Visit to Bury St Edmunds Cathedral
#postandearn
Bury St Edmunds Cathedral, formally known as the Cathedral Church of St James, is a striking landmark blending medieval heritage with modern craftsmanship. Located in the historic Suffolk market town, the cathedral sits at the heart of the former Benedictine abbey complex, once one of the wealthiest monasteries in medieval England.
The cathedral’s origins date back to the 11th century, though much of its structure was rebuilt or expanded in the Gothic Revival style. A highlight is the Millennium Tower, completed in 2005, which harmoniously combines traditional flintwork with a bold contemporary design. The vaulted ceiling of the nave is adorned with intricately painted angels and vibrant colors, showcasing the skills of modern artisans.
The cathedral's atmosphere is peaceful and reflective. Visitors can explore the nave, choir stalls, and the beautifully restored Lady Chapel. Stained glass windows offer rich storytelling, while small chapels provide quiet corners for contemplation. Don’t miss the cloister walk and the Pilgrim’s Kitchen café, set in the tranquil grounds.
Adjacent to the cathedral lies the Abbey Gardens, a lush public park filled with floral displays, ruins, and a sense of serenity. Combined, the cathedral and gardens offer a perfect escape for architecture lovers, history enthusiasts, and spiritual seekers.
Whether you’re admiring the craftsmanship, attending a choral service, or simply enjoying the quiet beauty, Bury St Edmunds Cathedral is a deeply rewarding visit in East Anglia.
Whispers of the Ruins: Journey to Bury St. Edmunds Abbey
#postandearn
Bury St Edmunds Abbey, nestled in the charming Suffolk town, offers a peaceful blend of history and nature. Once one of the richest Benedictine monasteries in England, the abbey was built in the 11th century to house the shrine of St Edmund, a martyred king of East Anglia. Though largely in ruins today, the remaining stone arches, crypts, and gatehouses still evoke a sense of medieval grandeur.
Entering through the impressive Abbey Gate, visitors can explore the serene Abbey Gardens—beautifully landscaped with flowerbeds, a sensory garden, and sculptures. The ruins are scattered across the grounds, including remnants of the great church, chapter house, and monks’ dormitory. Interpretive plaques provide helpful historical context.
Nearby, St Edmundsbury Cathedral rises beside the ruins, its modern Millennium Tower harmonizing with the older architecture. The surrounding town is also worth exploring, with quaint streets, independent shops, and a lively market.
The abbey grounds are free to enter and ideal for a relaxing stroll or picnic. Spring and summer are especially picturesque, with flowers in full bloom and frequent community events. Don’t miss the Abbey Gate and Norman Tower—both iconic photo spots.
**Tips:**
* Visit early in the morning for a quiet atmosphere.
* Bring a picnic or enjoy tea in the nearby cafés.
* Check local listings for concerts or events in the gardens.
A visit to Bury St Edmunds Abbey is a peaceful, enriching journey into England’s spiritual and royal past.

Strolling Through Time: Sanssouci Park, Potsdam
#postandearn
#attractive
#postandearn #SanssouciPark #Potsdam #GermanyTravel #PalaceGardens #UNESCOWorldHeritage
A visit to Sanssouci Park in Potsdam is like walking through a living history book surrounded by art, architecture, and perfectly designed gardens. Once the summer retreat of Frederick the Great, the park is centered around Sanssouci Palace, a masterpiece of Rococo design that sits atop sweeping vineyard terraces.
What struck me first was how serene and spacious the park felt. Wide gravel paths wind past fountains, marble sculptures, and flower beds that bloom in geometric precision. I began my walk at the palace, then slowly made my way down the terraces, pausing to admire the panoramic view across the Baroque gardens and toward the majestic Neptune Fountain below.
The park isn’t just one palace—it's an entire world of discovery. I explored the New Palace, a vast royal residence built to impress, and wandered into the Chinese House, a gilded pavilion nestled among chestnut trees that feels straight out of a fairytale. Every corner seemed to reveal another treasure: Roman Baths, obelisks, groves of roses, even hidden follies.
✅ Practical Tips:
– The grounds are free to enter; palace interiors require a timed ticket.
– Wear good shoes—this park is HUGE (nearly 300 hectares).
– Early morning or late afternoon offers the best light for photos.
– Don’t miss the Orangery Palace and its rooftop views.
📍 Just 30 minutes by train from Berlin, Sanssouci Park is perfect for a day trip that combines history, architecture, and natural beauty. It’s no wonder it’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site—a royal escape that truly lives up to its name: “without a care.”
