Apart from the graphics collection the museum has recently acquired on permanent loan two significant collections of Impressionist and early 20th-century art, some of which will be on permanent display. The museum also houses temporary exhibitions. One intense day in Vienna can include a lot of amazing art museums. We spent a lot of time in Belvedere and Albertina, and just managed to walk by Sisi museum and Freud’s house. Art history museum is a must for next time! Schönburg and Secession building are also on the list. What’s great about Vienna’s museum are long opening hours, and you can start quite early - both museums and cafes open at 8 or even earlier. Often there are interesting temporary exhibitions (like Chagall in Albertina this time).
