It is not a big landmark like Laem Phromthep, but the atmosphere is quieter, there are not many people, and it feels like a secret spot that locals take you to. The path to get there might be a bit tiring. You have to walk through a shortcut up the mountain, and there is a slight uphill climb, but once you get there, it is worth it!!! #summervacay I recently had the pleasure of staying at Naka Island, a hidden gem in Phuket that was formerly a Six Senses property. This "one island, one hotel" concept truly felt like stepping into a serene, almost "White Lotus Season 3" kind of vibe! To get there, you first arrive at the resort's private pier and then take a quick 10-minute speedboat ride to the island. If you're looking for a natural, secluded, and truly private resort experience, you absolutely shouldn't miss Naka Island. My Garden Villa Experience I stayed in a Garden Pool Villa, which was incredibly spacious at 450 square meters. It came with its own private pool, and they even gifted us a floating afternoon tea – a lovely touch! The villa could accommodate an extra bed for 2,500 THB per night. For around 4,100 THB for two nights, I'd say the value was exceptional. The villa itself offered incredible privacy. Whenever I needed to go anywhere on the island, I just called for one of the resort's buggies. Being in a garden villa meant I was surrounded by nature; waking up to the sound of birds every morning was incredibly therapeutic. One thing to note is that, apart from the rooms, other areas of the hotel don't have air conditioning. He was inspired by his grandfather who has been making and selling kites since the previous generation. “I want people in Phuket to preserve our kites because this is truly a local art of Phuket. Casa Boho is located inside the Hyatt Regency Hotel. This is another check-in point that you shouldn't miss. It's not far from Kamala Beach. The restaurant has a great atmosphere. It's a semi-Latin American restaurant with 3 floors. Each floor is decorated differently. The first floor is a semi-beach club restaurant with an infinity pool. The beach club here is not very big, but it is private. There are also bar chairs in the pool, which are a great photo spot with a great view. The upper floor is a water bar with seats facing out to see the sea in full view. It's perfect for watching the sunset. The hotel is located on Kamala Beach, which is a quiet and peaceful area, perfect for relaxation. Before reaching the hotel entrance, there are several supermarkets nearby for convenience. Since the hotel is situated on a hillside, transportation within the property requires calling for a shuttle service. However, the wait time is short, and the service is available 24/7. All rooms face the beach, but rooms on the first floor may have obstructed views due to trees. The hotel has only one swimming pool, but it is massive—50 meters long—and offers a great atmosphere. Although the hotel is by the sea, there is a road separating it from the beach. Swimming in the sea is possible, except during the monsoon season. During my stay, most guests were foreigners, with very few Thai visitors. The hotel features a kids' club, making it ideal for families with children—guaranteed fun for the little ones. The fitness center is spacious and well-equipped, and there is also a spa available. The breakfast buffet is a must-try! It offers a wide variety of dishes, including Thai, Chinese, Western, and Indian cuisines. The hotel has four restaurants, all serving delicious food at standard hotel prices. For those who enjoy drinks, don't miss Casa Boho. The ambiance is fantastic, with three floors, each uniquely decorated. It operates from evening until late night, and reservations are recommended for the best views. For anyone looking to change up their vacation experience in Phuket, staying on this side of the island is highly recommended. You can enjoy a relaxing stay within the hotel without needing to venture out. The area is not crowded, though it is farther from popular city restaurants.
