Shanghai Bund ❤️🔥
The Bund is definitely a place not to be missed when coming to Shanghai. On one side are ancient buildings with a strong European influence, on the other side is a modern skyline with the Oriental Pearl TV Tower and skyscrapers. Standing here at night, looking at the lights reflecting on the Huangpu River, feels truly "expensive"!
📸 Take super beautiful photos: Every angle is luxurious, especially at dusk. If you want to take photos without too many people, remember to go early or late.
🚢 Take a cruise on the Huangpu River: An experience worth trying! Sitting on a boat watching the two banks shimmering with lights, extremely chill. Tickets are about 120 - 300 yuan, depending on the type of boat.
☕ Cafe & rooftop view is great: If you want to sip a drink while admiring the view from above, you can visit Bar Rouge or rooftop The Peninsula - the price is a bit expensive but worth it!
🏛 Stroll around the ancient buildings: This area has many European-style buildings from the colonial period, such as the Peace Hotel, HSBC Bank, etc. If you like architecture, you will definitely love it.
How to get there:
🚇 Subway: Take Metro Line 2 or Line 10, get off at East Nanjing Road station, then walk for about 10 minutes.
🚕 Taxi: Taking a taxi during the day is quite convenient, but traffic jams are common at night.
🚶♂️ Walk from Nanjing Street: If you like walking around, you can combine walking from Nanjing Walking Street to here, walking and exploring at the same time.
Actual experience:
• Going at night is the most beautiful, the lights are extremely overwhelming.
• Quite crowded with tourists, especially on weekends, so if you like it quiet, go early or late.
• The river wind is strong, remember to bring a jacket in the cold season to avoid shivering!
In general, if you want to feel the soul of Shanghai, the Bund is the ideal place. Standing here, it feels like stepping into a movie!
