Just got b
Just got back from Copenhagen and honestly… what a vibe. It’s one of those cities that feels super chill but still packed with personality. The whole place is unbelievably clean, everyone’s on bikes, and there’s this low-key cozy energy that just kind of seeps into your bones.
Nyhavn is picture-perfect (yes, it’s touristy, but it’s cute so who cares?), and I might’ve eaten my weight in cinnamon buns and smørrebrød. Found this quirky little food market at Reffen that was giving warehouse-meets-street-food-heaven. Also tried to blend in with the locals by sipping coffee in like 4 different minimalist cafés. It felt… aspirational.
What surprised me most was how easy the city is to get around. Metro shows up like magic, and people are actually nice when you ask for directions. Christiania was wild in its own way—definitely a side of the city I wasn’t expecting, but glad I saw it.
Copenhagen isn’t cheap (like, your wallet will notice), but it’s got that clean, organized, eco-friendly thing going that kind of makes up for it. You just feel healthier being there.
Would go back in a heartbeat, maybe with a bit more budgeting next time 😅

Chill Day at Nyhavn, Copenhagen
#summervacay
Nyhavn was like walking through a postcard but somehow still felt chill and nice. I really didn't do much, just wandering with my camera, snapping way too many pictures, and then finally finding a cozy place along the canal to just sit and have a warm drink.
The colourful houses, the old ships and the happy feeling in a beautiful spot made it one of those places where you can slow down a little to just enjoy the moment. It is very touristy, in fact I heard someone say at one point they could actually feel their wallet getting lighter, but it doesn't have a phoney vibe to it. In-fact it has a kind of magic to it.

Copenhagen: Where Designers Go to See the Nordic Chair All-Stars! 🇩🇰🪑
#summervacay
Seriously, if you're a designer, you absolutely have to visit the Design Museum Denmark! This museum is a global wellspring of inspiration for designers and, frankly, a masterclass in home aesthetics for everyone else. After all, who can resist the joy of Browse an exhibition and mentally picturing, "This chair would be perfect for my living room"? 🛋️✨
History: From Hospital to Design Treasure! 🏥➡️💎
This museum's journey is quite the comeback story! Established in 1890 with funding from the Copenhagen Industrial Association and the New Carlsberg Foundation, it originally resided in a building on HC Andersen's Boulevard. Then, in 1926, it moved into a grand Rococo-style former hospital building – no wonder some say even the air here carries the scent of "design prescriptions"! Its mission is incredibly practical: to use its exhibits to teach the world "what good design is" and to serve as an inspiration charging station for the industrial sector. Today, it stands as a living archive of Nordic design, with the building itself being a historic exhibit of its own!
This museum beautifully showcases the evolution of design, especially the iconic Nordic chairs and furniture that have shaped modern aesthetics. It's a truly enriching and visually stunning experience for anyone interested in creativity, history, and the art of everyday objects.

🇩🇰 Denmark's Louisiana Museum of Modern Art: A Baltic Gem!
#summervacay
Oh my goodness, the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, built right by the Baltic Sea, is an absolute dream! 🌊 It truly blends seamlessly with nature – every single ray of light seems to hit just perfectly, creating the most beautiful atmosphere. ✨ I honestly wouldn't mind "wasting" an entire day here; it's that captivating! 🥰
Getting there is super easy too! You can hop on a train from Copenhagen (Copenhagen Central Station) and be there in just about 40 minutes. Once you get off, it's a really short walk. You can grab your tickets right at the entrance. So worth the trip! 🚂🚶♀️

Exploring Copenhagen on Two Wheels 🚴♂️🇩🇰
I spent a day cycling around the beautiful city of Copenhagen and quickly discovered why it’s known as one of the most bike-friendly cities in the world. Renting a Dott bike was super easy, and it turned out to be the perfect way to explore. The city’s excellent cycling infrastructure made getting around smooth, safe, and enjoyable. If you’re visiting Copenhagen, seeing the city by bike is a must.

Museum Hopping in Copenhagen: My Time at Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek! 🇩🇰🖼️
#summervacay
Before my trip to Denmark, I made sure to carve out some dedicated time for the museums I really wanted to explore, and the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek was high on my list! So glad I prioritized it!
Pro Tips for a Great Museum Experience! ✨
Sunshine is Key! ☀️ If you can, try to visit on a sunny day. The way the light hits the architecture and gardens here (and at other museums!) truly elevates the experience.
Solo Strolling is Bliss! 🚶♀️ Honestly, if you're comfortable with it, visiting alone is fantastic! You can truly immerse yourself, spend as long as you want at each piece, and explore exactly what interests you without having to consider anyone else's pace or preferences. Pure freedom!
What You'll Love About the Glyptotek! 💚
Right after you get past the ticket check, you'll immediately notice how beautifully the museum's lush greenery, sculptures, and architecture blend together. When the sun shines through, it absolutely floods the central atrium with life and light – it's just stunning! 🤩
Most of the artworks have accompanying explanations, and some even offer audio guides (in Danish/English), which are really interesting to listen to and add so much depth to your visit. The museum's structure itself is quite unique; it's almost like peeling an onion, layer by layer, as you discover different sections and collections. It's a journey of exploration in itself!
Whether you're an art buff or just looking for a beautiful and inspiring space, the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek is a must-add to your Copenhagen itinerary!

Nyhavn | A City with Zero Worries 💙☀️
#summervacay
The water here is crystal clear, like seriously!
Calling out Amsterdam — your little canals don’t stand a chance 😤😂
Lying by the sea, soaking in the sun… I was in bliss overload.
Also got randomly asked to take photos again as the token Asian face 🙃📸
There are tons of food options on both sides of Nyhavn.
I tried Raiissimo’s Spanish churros with chocolate sauce —
✨ First bite: amazing
🥴 Second bite: too sweet
😵💫 Third bite: nope
BUT dipping them in their lemon ice cream? Absolute game changer — super refreshing 🍋🍦
Also tried a giant hotdog — definitely enough as a meal,
but oh boy, it was salty salty salty 😅🌭

The Organ Church | Small and a Bit Far, But Worth It 🎶
#summervacay
It takes about half an hour from Copenhagen city center to get here. It’s in Zone 2, where ticket checks are strict!
The outside is under construction, but the interior is super photogenic.
A heads-up for your return trip: the 6A bus stop right outside the church isn’t currently served because the bus route was changed — but Google Maps hasn’t updated yet! There’s a handwritten “no bus” sign on the stop, and you’ll need to walk to the next stop to catch the bus, or you’ll be waiting forever.

The Round Tower | A Hidden Gem in Copenhagen — Photo Heaven! 📸
#summervacay
Located in the city center, the Round Tower is small and unassuming. Entry is free, but climbing to the top requires a separate ticket (60 DKK), and unfortunately, the Copenhagen Card doesn’t cover it.
I was too rushed and didn’t want to pay extra, so I skipped the climb—now I really regret it! The ascent is a gentle spiral ramp, not stairs, making it very easy to climb.
Inside, the design is pure white and minimalist, perfect for photos. Definitely worth the visit and the climb if you have time!

Must-visit attractions in Copenhagen ~ Day 3 Rosenborg Castle
A must-visit in Copenhagen
Day 3
Attractions:
Rosenborg Castle is located in the center of Copenhagen, Denmark. It is a Renaissance-style castle with a history of over 400 years. It was built by King Christian IV of Denmark in 1606 as his summer residence and was gradually expanded until it was completed to its current size in 1624. The castle is famous for its unique Dutch Renaissance architectural style, rich royal collections and magnificent gardens. It is one of the must-see attractions in Copenhagen.
🏰 Castle Highlights
Royal Treasures and Crowns: In the castle's underground treasury, Denmark's royal jewels and crowns are collected, including diamonds, rubies, sapphires and pearls. These treasures symbolize the authority and history of the Danish monarchy.

Knight’s Hall: Located on the third floor of the castle, the Knight’s Hall was originally a ballroom and later used as a royal reception room. The hall displays the Danish king's coronation chair, the queen's throne and three silver lion statues, symbolizing the majesty of the royal family.
Royal Collection: The castle displays royal artifacts from the late 16th to the 19th century, including paintings, furniture, ceramics and weapons, allowing visitors to gain an in-depth understanding of the life and history of the Danish royal family.

A Walk Along Strøget – Design, Details & a Hint of Royal Elegance
#cityplaybook
Strøget in Copenhagen is one of Europe’s longest pedestrian shopping streets—but it’s more than just shops. With its elegant architecture, open plazas, and calm atmosphere, it feels like a stroll through a perfectly designed cityscape.
One highlight for me was visiting the Royal Copenhagen flagship store. The space is beautiful—light-filled and thoughtfully arranged, with plenty of room to wander. Each table setting felt like a small work of art, and even just browsing felt like a special experience.
This part of Strøget is lined with stunning buildings, each one more graceful than the last. There’s a sense of quiet sophistication here that makes even a simple walk feel memorable.
Why I recommend this part of Copenhagen:
・It’s the perfect blend of design, culture, and everyday life
・You’ll find beauty not only in the shops, but in the architecture all around you

#danishlife
In the heart of Copenhagen, you will find Copenhagen City Hall. Copenhagen City Hall was built in 1892-1905 and was designed by architect Martin Nyrop. Martin Nyrop was inspired by the town halls of Italy, and the building is today considered as a classic of the National Romantic style. The National Romantic features shine through throughout the building - from the richly decorated exterior to the detailed interior with hidden gems hidden in everything from murals to stair railings.
The City Hall can be explored on your own, but if you want the full experience of Copenhagen City Hall and it's secrets, you can join a guided tour Monday-Friday at 13.00 and Saturday at 10.00. The tour is about 50 minutes and the competent guide takes you around the City Hall, as well as up the City Hall Tower, which with it's 105.6 metres is one of the tallest buildings in Copenhagen.
The Black Diamond, Copenhagen
On the edge of Copenhagen Harbour sits The Black Diamond as a beacon of culture. The Black Diamond is Royal Danish Library's cultural centre in Copenhagen with lots of events all year round. The Black Diamond opened in 1999, and was built to fit with the original library building from 1906.

Stay Nordhavn: Modern Comfort with Stunning Views & Great Connectivity!
I had a fantastic short term stay at Stay Nordhavn in Copenhagen. The apartment was modern, spacious, and well-equipped, making it feel like a home away from home. It included a washing machine and cooking facilities, which were incredibly convenient for a longer stay. The balcony offered a great view, adding to the overall comfort and experience. The interior design was minimalist yet functional, with a cozy ambiance that made it a relaxing place to return to after exploring the city.
The location is excellent—close to two metro stations, Nordhavn (M4 & S-train) and Orientkaj (M4), making it easy to get around. It’s near the city center, providing quick access to major attractions while being in a quieter, modern neighborhood. Despite being away from the airport, it’s still easily accessible, with a journey time of about 30–35 minutes via public transport. The typical route involves taking the M2 metro from Copenhagen Airport (CPH) to Kongens Nytorv, then transferring to the M4 metro towards Orientkaj, and alighting at Nordhavn or Orientkaj.
Overall, I highly recommend Stay Nordhavn for travelers looking for a comfortable, stylish, and well-connected apartment stay in Copenhagen. Whether you’re staying for a short visit or an extended trip, it’s a great choice for convenience and comfort!

Springtime in Copenhagen: Fairytales and Royal Splendor
#springwander
Copenhagen in spring is a city straight out of a fairytale. The crisp air, blooming parks, and gentle sunlight make exploring the Danish capital a true delight. One of the first stops on my journey was the iconic Little Mermaid statue. Though small, it has a certain melancholic charm, especially in the early morning when the crowds are still thin.
From there, I wandered through the historic streets towards Amalienborg Palace, the royal residence. Watching the changing of the guard in the palace square, surrounded by elegant rococo architecture, felt like stepping back in time. Just a short walk away, I discovered the Marble Church, with its stunning dome offering breathtaking views over the city.
A highlight of my visit was Rosenborg Castle, set in the beautiful King’s Garden. Inside, I explored the royal chambers and admired the Danish Crown Jewels in the treasury—a true hidden gem. The mix of history and opulence was mesmerizing.
Spring in Copenhagen brings the city to life, whether through its vibrant architecture, peaceful canals, or rich royal heritage. It’s the perfect time to explore on foot, enjoy an outdoor café, and soak in the charm of this Scandinavian jewel.
