Fujikawaguchiko: A Peaceful Escape at the Foot of Mt. Fuji
Fujikawaguchiko is where you go when you want to slow down, breathe deep, and be surrounded by beauty. From climbing the lantern-lined stairs of Arakura Sengen Shrine to admiring Mt. Fuji behind the Chureito Pagoda—it’s pure magic. I wandered through crystal-clear streams in Oshino Hakkai, colorful flower fields, and peaceful ryokan gardens that feel straight out of a Ghibli film. Definitely one of the most peaceful and photogenic places I've ever been.

Climbing Mount Fuji
When to Go
The official climbing season runs from early July to early September. During this period, the mountain huts are open, and the trails are accessible. Climbing outside this season is not recommended due to harsh weather conditions.
Trails
There are several routes to the summit, with the Yoshida Trail being the most popular. Starting from the 5th Station, climbers ascend through the 6th to 10th Stations, with the summit offering breathtaking views, especially during sunrise. It's advisable to use a guide, such as Fuji Mountain Guides, to ensure safety and enhance the experience. #fuji

tempura for the soul
Fuji Tempura Idaten serves fresh and crispy tempura with a light batter that isn’t too oily. The udon was chewy and comforting, and the wagyu beef sushi was tender and flavorful. Friendly service and cozy atmosphere made it a great stop after exploring the area in the cold night. they even had a heater waiting area outside for the guests who are queueing for their seats.

Visiting Lake Kawaguchiko requires a bit of luck, as it's not easy to catch a clear view of Mount Fuji. On this trip, I traveled from Shinjuku by bus. Upon arrival, I rented a bicycle to ride around the lake, which allowed me to stop and take photos at beautiful spots whenever I wanted. However, the day I visited was very cold because it had snowed the day before. After capturing photos around the lake, I took a train to Shimoyoshida to climb the stairs and take pictures with the iconic red pagoda and Mount Fuji in the background. It was absolutely stunning!
Kawaguchiko and a long holiday in Japan
Lake Kawaguchiko here with a view of Fujisan
Chill and beautiful. Long holiday travel plans often have Japan in mind.
And here, I came for 5 days and was not bored because there are many photo spots.
There are many restaurants and it is very convenient to travel.
From Tokyo, just take a long train ride from Shinjuku to Kawaguchiko. There are many accommodations. If you come alone, a hostel is good. If you come as a couple, you can arrange a room with a beautiful view. If you come as a family, you have to rent a whole vacation home, which is very suitable for a long vacation.

Stunned by this perfect pairing! Dotonbori x Fuji, a neon-lit nightscape masterpiece.
Folks, you have to see the night view of Dotonbori when visiting Osaka. The dazzling lights are simply breathtaking 💖
Strolling along the Dotonbori River, you'll be surrounded by vibrant signs and brilliant lights. The giant Glico billboard flashes in neon, with colorful lights reflecting on the water, gently rippling with the waves. The atmosphere is absolutely captivating, and every corner is a perfect spot for taking stylish photos 📸
As you casually look up, you'll spot the towering Fuji TV building in the distance. Its sleek architectural lines blend seamlessly with the bustling vibe of Dotonbori, creating an unexpectedly harmonious pairing. One represents Osaka's lively commercial district, while the other stands as an iconic media industry landmark. Together, they seem to narrate the story of Japan's modern commerce and media convergence.
Dotonbori is lively and bustling, while Fuji TV exudes a cool, modern vibe. The warm and cold contrast merges beautifully in Osaka's nightscape. Here, you can immerse yourself in Dotonbori's rich local atmosphere, with crowded streets and the enticing aroma of various food stalls, while also gazing at Fuji TV's majestic, futuristic silhouette. It's like a perfect blend of tradition and modernity captured in a single frame.
This striking duo truly leaves a lasting impression and adds a vibrant highlight to my Osaka trip.
A Journey to Remember: My Unforgettable Trip to Mt. Fuji
My trip to Mt. Fuji was nothing short of magical — the kind of travel experience that stays with you long after you’re back home. From the breathtaking views to the serene atmosphere, every moment felt like a dream come to life.
The journey started with that iconic silhouette of Fuji-san coming into view — surreal, majestic, and humbling all at once. Whether I was hiking one of the trails, relaxing at a nearby onsen, or just taking in the scenery from Lake Kawaguchi, the presence of the mountain was always awe-inspiring. There’s a certain quiet power about Mt. Fuji that’s hard to put into words — it grounds you, even as it takes your breath away.
The local culture and hospitality added so much warmth to the trip. The food was incredible especially the houtou noodles (pic 14), please never forget to try the most natural vegan food at Con Brio restaurant (pic 15,16) which definitely inspired your taste bud. The people were welcoming and kind.
Overall, my Fuji trip was the perfect blend of nature, culture, and personal reflection. I came back feeling refreshed, inspired, and deeply grateful. If Mt. Fuji isn’t on your travel list yet, do yourself a favor — make it a priority.

Oshino Hakkai 🌸💧
#GetDiscountsWithoutLuck
#fuji #kawaguchiko
Address: Oshino, Minamitsuru District, Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan 📍 (between Lakes Kawaguchiko and Yamanakako)
Atmosphere/Location:
Oshino Hakkai is a small, quiet village in the Fuji Five Lakes area near Mt. Fuji. 🗻 The atmosphere is full of nature and a traditional Japanese atmosphere. 🍃 There are 8 crystal clear ponds formed by the snowmelt of Mt. Fuji that has seeped through the lava rocks for over 80 years. 💦 The ponds are deep and clear enough to see the fish and aquatic plants clearly. 🐟 There are old-fashioned thatched-roof houses around. 🏡 and shops that give a retro feel. Perfect for a relaxing stroll or taking beautiful photos 📸, especially on a clear day when you can clearly see Mt. Fuji as a stunning backdrop ✨
Highlights:
- 8 Clear Ponds: Each pond has its own unique identity, such as Deguchi-ike Pond, which is 8 meters deep 💧 and Kagami-ike Pond, which reflects Mt. Fuji like a mirror 🪞
- Fuji View: If the sky is clear, you will be able to see Mt. Fuji in full view. It is a photo spot that you can't miss! 🗻📷
- Local Food: Shops sell Japanese sweets such as Kusa Mochi (herbal mochi) 🍡 and Oshino soba made with the local purified water 🍜
- Hannoki Bayashi Museum: Small open-air museum (300 yen admission) featuring agricultural tools and samurai weapons ⚔️ with an old house to explore 🏠
Average price per person:
- Admission: Free (except for the museum 300 yen ~ 70 baht) 🎟️
- Food/Snacks: 300-800 yen (about 70-190 baht) 🍵
- Access from Kawaguchiko Station by bus: 310 yen (about 75 baht) takes about 20-30 minutes 🚍
Score: 4.5/5 ⭐
Oshino Hakkai is a place that perfectly combines nature and culture 🌿 The clarity of the pond and the view of Fuji make you feel peaceful and very impressed 💖 Suitable for those who want to escape the hustle and bustle and experience authentic Japan. A little deducted because during the time when there are a lot of tourists, it may spoil the atmosphere a bit 😅 But if you come early in the morning or on a weekday, it will be even better! Highly recommended! 😍

[Yamanashi, Japan] Oshino Hakkai 🏔️|It's worth paying to enter the park
【Features】
1. It is a world cultural heritage site together with Mount Fuji🗻
2. The beautiful scenery of the mountain and the lake complementing each other
3. The scenery of the old Japanese houses is preserved🏯
4. There is spring water from Mount Fuji for drinking
【Recommendation Index】
🌕🌕🌕🌕🌗(4.5/5)
【Real Evaluation】
The lake view formed by the spring water of Mount Fuji echoes with Mount Fuji. I think it is worth a visit. There are so many people here that I recommend that you pay to enter the park. In addition to the fewer people, the scenes you can take pictures of inside are very different from those outside. At the same time, you can also visit old houses and learn about local culture. Don't miss it when you come here!!!
[Transportation method🚘]
1. Drive/charter
2. Join a one-day tour
[Suggestions from Wen]
Be prepared for the crowds in the food street, but there are some special foods to try~ Or experience eating Fuji apples while looking at Mount Fuji🤤

Lake Kawaguchiko is one of the lakes where we can see Mt. Fuji beautifully in Japan. It is easy to get there, with many ways to get there, both by bus and train. Around the lake, there are many accommodations to choose from at various prices. There are also fun activities around the lake. You can buy a day pass that allows you to travel around the lake conveniently. On a clear day, you can see Mt. Fuji beautifully. Even though it was raining on the day we went, it was a different atmosphere. We must find a chance to come back again.

“Saiko Iyashi-no-Sato Nenba” Ancient Japanese Village🗻
This is an ancient Japanese village located on the western shore of Lake Saiko in Yamanashi Prefecture. Originally an agricultural community destroyed by a landslide from a typhoon, it has now been renovated, with over 20 traditional thatched-roof houses built as an open-air museum and craft center. If you have the chance to travel to that area, you can stop by and take some pictures. The view is very beautiful. 😍😍

Getting the most famous photo in Japan🗻
The Chureito pagoda with the unmistakable shape of mount fuji in the background is probably the most popular photo spot in all of Japan and getting there is actually not that hard🗻
The Chureito pagoda is located in the town of Fujiyoshida and can be photographed from the Arakurayama Sengen Park Observatory📷
You can get on a train in Tokyo and after a 3 hour journey, you’ll arrive at the train station in Fujiyoshida, from which you can take a 20 minute walk to the pagoda (which is of course free by the way)🚄
But if you want to get that famous shot during sunrise, you will have to spend a night in one of the many hotels in the town, whose prices can vary, depending on the season🏨
But here are a few tips:
-Get up early and don’t waste any time in the morning, the walk up the mountain might take you longer than you expect, depending on your level of fitness (but should only be around 10 minutes)🌅
-There’s gonna be a lot of people in the morning, so once you arrive early, set up your tripod so no one can steal your spot📷
-Don’t wait for the light to be “perfect”, because that light might never come and then you’re standing there without any shots at all, so just take a picture every 30 seconds or so while you’re waiting for your desired composition☀️

Review of viewing Fuji during the autumn leaves season from Arakurayama Sengen Park
This viewpoint offers a beautiful view of Mt. Fuji, Chureito Pagoda and the autumn leaves that contrast perfectly. The quiet place is perfect for relaxing and capturing memories.
Tips:

Mt. Fuji is beautiful in all four seasons🗻
I made a rental reservation in advance to go to Mt. Fuji
I also got an international driver's license and rented from Toyota Rent-a-Car!
There was something similar to a Hi-pass in Korea to pass through the toll gate
And there were rest areas where I could rest here and there.
Thanks to that, I was able to stop by the bathroom during the long drive ㅎㅎ
When I arrived, I first went to the famous Lawson convenience store!
There were so many tourists that I took a few pictures from afar and turned around.
There were also a lot of people crowded into the bathroom
There were more tourists than I thought, so it was hard,
But I was able to heal by looking at the beautiful Mt. Fuji 😆
It wasn't an easy schedule because I even rented a car!
If I go again, I really want to go to FUJI Mount❗️

Review of Japanese hotels with a view of Fuji + private onsen
📍Yamadaya Hotel
We booked for a little over 3,700 including 2 meals.
The accommodation is a Japanese-style ryokan.
The view of Fuji is very clear, both the room and the onsen.
Cross the street opposite the hotel and you will see a very beautiful lake. The accommodation looks a little old, the room is clean, and the service is very good. I personally think it is worth the price. **The food is a bit small for a fat child like me. If it were an ordinary person, they might be full by 6555. I recommend buying it because the nearby shops close early. For me, I will definitely come back. I am impressed.

Our stay at the Shoji Lake Hotel was truly memorable. The hospitality was exceptional, making us feel right at home. Our room had a lovely view of Mount Fuji, but we weren't very lucky with the weather, as Fuji was hiding in the clouds. Nonetheless, the serene surroundings made for a relaxing experience.

Recommended Spots for Viewing Mount Fuji, Must-Visit Courses for Mount Fuji Travel
Mount Fuji, the most famous mountain in Japan, is a popular destination for many tourists. While there are many places in Shizuoka and Tokyo where you can get a clear view of Mount Fuji, Tanuki Lake is a spot where you can see the mountain reflected in the lake. This makes it a particularly popular spot for photographers.
You can visit this place even without a rental car, as it is accessible by public transportation. You can take a bus from Fujinomiya Station directly to the lake.
The bus ride offers stunning views of Mount Fuji, making it a highly recommended trip.

[Fuji Mountain View🗻Super Cost-Effective Single Villa🏠]
[Unboxing a single-family villa with Mount Fuji view🗻]
The entire area is filled with single villas operated by TOKI, and is recommended for friends who are traveling by car. All house types can overlook Mt. Fuji from the sun roof.
This time we stayed in a rooftop villa. As soon as you drive in, a staff member will come out to greet you and take you to your room. There are three floors in total, including two suites and a rooftop terrace.
The hotel offers paid breakfast and dinner (optional rooftop bbq/indoor shabu shabu/sukiyaki), and dinner is about ¥3,300-3,500 per person. Breakfast/dinner can be booked on the same day. After booking, the entire package will be placed in your room and they will help to organize it. The taste is good.
We checked in at the beginning of March and the room rate was about ¥30,000 per day.

【🗻Private Hot Spring Hotel with Mount Fuji View】- Deluxe Mountain View Room with Private Bath, Lake View, Mountain View and Mount Fuji View!
[Unboxing a Private Hot Spring Hotel with Mount Fuji View🗻]
The hotel has multiple room types to choose from, with options for either Lake Kawaguchi or Mount Fuji view.
The room type I chose is a deluxe mountain view room with a private hot spring. You can see Mount Fuji whether in the living room or in the private hot spring!
Even if you don't get this room type, you can still reserve a paid private hot spring bath with a view of Mount Fuji (3850-4400 yen).
Of course, in addition to the private hot springs, there are also large public baths.
The large public bath has outdoor, indoor, semi-outdoor and massage pools, but there is not much scenery to see in the large public bath.
Although the large bath facilities are adequate, they feel a bit dated, and I would personally recommend the private onsen rooms.
The most surprising thing is the hotel’s 270-degree free observation deck, where you can see the lake, mountains and Mount Fuji!
Room rate: 54,000 yen/night (excluding breakfast/dinner)
The check-in date is around the beginning of March, and I booked this room two weeks before my departure, so you can use it as a reference.
