Located on U.S. Rte 2 along the Lake Michigan shorline is Cut River Bridge. It is one of only two cantilevered steel deck truss bridges in MI. It's 147 feet above the Cut River and is 641 feet long. It was originally constructed in the 1940's. It overlooks the shoreline of the lake and has steps going all the way down to the lake as well as the Cut River runs right down and opens up into the lake. This stop offered beautiful views of the fall foliage at every angle and we enjoyed hiking under the bridge and along the river. If you are a fan of the Korean drama Crash Landing On You, you will surely recognise Panorama bridge Sigriswil as the location where the male and female leads first met each other. It became a popular tourist spot especially among Asians since then. Sigriswil panoramic bridge is a 340-m long suspension bridge above Gummischlucht gorge between Sigriswil and Aeschlen. It is accessible by public transport by taking bus 25 from Thun train station to Sigriswil, Dorf (the final stop). Crossing the bridge as a tourist is not free though. There's a ticket booth at the entrance of the bridge which collects CHF 6 per person, which contributes to funding for bridge maintenance. Even if you're not a fan of the drama, you can still visit this place for the magnificent view of the famous Bernese Oberland peaks, the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, as well as Lake Thun. As we were strolling around, looking for a place to hang out before heading to the Merlion, we stumbled upon this bridge. The architectural design is stunning, and it's not too crowded since many people head straight to the Merlion. We captured a couple of nice shots and stayed a little longer to enjoy the view of the Singapore River from atop the Anderson Bridge, which provided us with a truly memorable moment. I highly recommend that anyone visiting the Merlion in Singapore take a detour from the crowded spots to visit this charming bridge.

Located at the mouth of Douro River, Porto, the second largest city in Portugal, is one of my favourite cities in the world. The Dom Luís I Bridge (Ponte de Dom Luís I) is a double-deck metal arch bridge that spans the Douro River between Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia. It is an integral part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Old City Porto. A visit to Porto is not complete without crossing this beautiful bridge on foot. In fact, I crossed it multiples during my stay in Vila Nova de Gaia. Completed in 1886, the bridge's 172 metres span was then the longest of its type in the world. The lower deck is currently open to public transport, taxis, cyclists and pedestrians. It is accessible from Av. de Diogo Leite (Vila Nova de Gaia side) and Cais da Ribeira (Porto side). The upper deck has a length of 385 meters and is more than 10 floors above the lower deck. It is used for the Porto metro and also has a pedestrian walkway that offers an spectacular view of the Douro River and the buildings on both sides of the river banks. The upper deck is accessible from Jardim do Morro (Vila Nova de Gaia side) and Av.
