North Vancouver – Where the Mountains Meet the Sea

North Vancouver isn’t just across the water from downtown—it’s an adventure gateway where city life blends effortlessly with wild nature. From snow-capped peaks to rainforest trails, this place had me reaching for my hiking boots one moment and my camera the next.
I started with a walk across the legendary Capilano Suspension Bridge—swaying high above the forest floor with epic views of towering evergreens and the Capilano River below. Next came Grouse Mountain, where a quick gondola ride delivered alpine vistas and, in winter, snow sports galore.
But North Van isn’t just about high-altitude thrills. Down near the waterfront, the Lonsdale Quay Market buzzed with local energy. I sampled artisan chocolates, sipped a flat white with a harbor view, and browsed fresh produce while watching the SeaBus cruise across Burrard Inlet.
I also explored the scenic Lynn Canyon Park, where waterfalls, wooden walkways, and the quieter (free!) suspension bridge made it a perfect escape from the city bustle.
Best Time to Visit:
Spring through fall for hiking and outdoor fun; winter for skiing and snowy landscapes.
Travel Tips:
Wear sturdy shoes—many of the best spots involve trails and stairs.
Try local salmon dishes or craft brews at one of the quay’s cozy bistros.
The SeaBus from downtown Vancouver offers stunning water and skyline views—ride it at sunset!

Richmond Rhythms – Where Culture Meets Coastal Charm
#cityplaybook

Richmond, nestled on the coast of British Columbia, surprised me with its rich cultural fusion and laid-back waterfront vibes. It’s a city where East meets West—home to one of the most vibrant Asian communities in Canada, yet filled with timeless Pacific Northwest scenery.
I started my day exploring Steveston Village, a historic fishing town within Richmond that feels like a portal to the past. Walking the boardwalk past old cannery buildings and docks lined with fishing boats, I soaked in the sea breeze and enjoyed fresh seafood straight off the boat. The Gulf of Georgia Cannery National Historic Site gave me a deeper appreciation of the town's fishing heritage.
In contrast, Aberdeen Centre offered a completely different experience—a sleek, modern Asian shopping hub full of bubble tea cafes, fashion boutiques, and authentic eateries. I tried Taiwanese popcorn chicken and watched a musical fountain show right in the atrium. It felt like a mini trip to Hong Kong or Taipei.
What stood out most about Richmond was the Food Street on Alexandra Road. This single stretch is a paradise for food lovers. From dim sum to ramen, hotpot to Korean fried chicken—each meal was better than the last.
Best Time to Visit: Late spring to early fall (May–October) for sunny weather and night markets.
Travel Tips:
Visit Richmond Night Market (May–October) for vibrant street food and entertainment.
Rent a bike and ride the West Dyke Trail for sunset views over the Fraser River.
Try the seafood chowder in Steveston—it’s a local favorite.

Seattle is a city that greets you with a cool breeze, the scent of coffee, and an irresistible sense of creativity. Nestled between Puget Sound and the Cascade Mountains, this gem in the Pacific Northwest is more than rain and grunge—it’s alive with energy, charm, and a quiet kind of magic.
I started my journey at the Pike Place Market, and it was love at first bite. From fresh seafood to handmade crafts and legendary chowder, the market is a sensory overload in the best way. Don’t leave without saying hello to Rachel the Pig and watching the iconic fish toss.
A short walk led me to the Seattle Waterfront, where ferries drift peacefully and the Great Wheel offers jaw-dropping views over Elliott Bay. For art and innovation, the Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP) was a mind-blowing experience—especially for music and sci-fi lovers.
No trip to Seattle is complete without visiting the Space Needle. I went during sunset, and the 360° view of the city, mountains, and sea was simply unforgettable. Nearby, Chihuly Garden and Glass was another highlight—glass art meets fantasy.
Best Time to Visit:
June to September is ideal, with sunny skies and outdoor festivals.
Spring and fall are less crowded and still beautiful, especially for forest hikes and museum visits.
Bonus Tip:
Take a ferry to Bainbridge Island—just 35 minutes away, and it feels like another world.
For incredible views, go to Kerry Park—the skyline, Mount Rainier, and sunset in one perfect frame.
