Walking out from the airport, the infinity ocean sea is just in front of our eyes and there are plenties of public and private boats park by the jetty to pick up the guests. Yesssss, not the grab, not the taxi, but the speedboats waiting outside. Whereas inside the airport, there are a lot of lounges and counters of the resorts or hotels surrounded waiting for their guests to approach for the seaplane arrangement. Again, the seaplane is nearby only and you just need to take the bus to the terminal. The distance is quite near and it only takes lesser than 5 min. Are you ready to visit the place for sun and sea ?

The location was quite strategic as it is close to a high rating cafe - The Seagull Cafe in less than 5 minutes walking distance. The check-in process was smooth and the staff was professional to explain thoroughly while making sure we settle down, as we arrived in soaky wet due to rain. The room was comfortable to stay in and was quite spacious. Not to mention, although the restaurant is small, but the included breakfast was great too! Strongly recommend!

I would say the entire stay experience was so great, relaxed and enjoyed to the fullest. We came here with Seaplane arranged by the resort, and we were welcomed with a team of people standing by the jetty, so warmth and delighted. Hardoum was the one that assigned to do the check-in process, must give her a kudos as her service is tip top and everything are well explained. She even patiently took out a board with the resort map and explain each agenda carefully as this private island is huge (packed with 4 restaurants and 2 bars even, on top of the resort rooms!). The resort is tech friendly where guests are required to download Dhigali App for any restaurant, water sport, spa reservation, also to track buggy location to pick us up anywhere. Just a little bit advice, if you are not a good swimmer, do wear a life jacket when you are enjoying all those activities, the sea is quite unpredictable and you must always be aware on it even you are doing SUP or kayak!!

Galle Face Green is a 500 m promenade in the heart of Colombo, between Galle Road and the Indian Ocean. It was initially laid out in 1859 by Sir Henry Ward, Governor of British Ceylon. The stretch of land was used for horse racing and golf in the 19th century. Being the largest open space in Colombo, this is a popular destination for locals and tourists to spend their leisure time while enjoying the sea breeze from the Indian Ocean. We spent a leisure afternoon there after visiting One Galle Face Mall which is just opposite to the park. There were a lot of food vendors selling cooked crabs and prawns along the promenade. Clean public washrooms are available too. The kids had a fun time flying a kite and blowing bubbles. The view of the Sri Lankan flag flying high in the background is spectacular. We also got the opportunity to witness flag lowering ceremony at 6 pm. Book a glass-bottom boat cruise to fulfil both needs at once! We manage to enjoy this experience through our private island resort and the service was tip top. It was rainy season during our visit to Maldives, the view was not as clear as expected but it still turns out great! I think if and only if you are lucky enough then can find turtle, shark or even stingray from the the view!

Opened at the end of 2019, the 7- level mall houses many famous retail brands, restaurants, a cinema and many other entertainment options under one roof. If you are travelling with kids, you should check out level four where you can find most retail shops and entertainment facilities catered to children. My children tried out the mini golf course. Young kids will surely enjoy the Thomas train ride around level 4.
