Most Beautiful Basilica in France
I don't mean to exaggerate. Also, I haven't seen all the basilica's out there but with extensive travels across Europe and more specifically France. I have willingly and at times half heartedly ticked several churches and basilica's off my list. There are very few that stand out as the Basilica of Notre Dame in Lyon does. The only other stunning instance as such was in Vatican.
Firstly the beautiful location on the Furviere hill. You do have a funicular ride to bring you there and back. That simplifies things. The location allows for brilliant views. And it's sort of a complex with another building and and equally impressive crypt. The most eye catching part are the mosaics and paintings that have a surreal effect. There is a chapel next door too. Amongst the list of historical sights I saw, this one ranks number one for Lyon. Highly recommended!

[Fantastic Church] A highlight of Montreal's beautiful cathedral
📍Notre-Dame Basilica
The Notre-Dame Basilica of Montreal is one of the highlights of sightseeing in Montreal.
It is one of the largest churches in North America, located in Old Montreal, a World Heritage Site.
The Notre-Dame Church in Paris is probably the most famous, but Notre-Dame means "Virgin Mary" in French, and churches named Notre-Dame have been built in French-speaking cities around the world.
Notre Dame de Montreal is a paid attraction, and there is a long line at the ticket counter, so it is best to buy tickets online in advance 👆🏽
The inside of the church is full of things to see, such as the colorfully decorated gorgeous altar, stained glass, and the impressive pipe organ 🥹💓
The altar is decorated with many bronze statues, and you can go up close to see the scene of Mary being crowned by Christ and the bronze statue of Christ on the cross ✨
Behind the altar there is a room for those who want to pray, but tourists are not allowed to enter it.
And the popular event at this church is the light show "AURA"! ︎
Even though it is a church, you can enjoy a projection mapping show that uses the inside of the building.
This is also only available to those who have a reservation-based ticket, so if you are going, please make a reservation early.

Finest Gothic looking architectural church
Be sure to be there early as possible to. Visitation is free of charge to enter the church. You may take great pictures outside and also inside the church. There is also a viewing platform upstairs with a fee.
Be aware of certain people that ask for monies outside the church. These are scammers. Also there are plenty of souvenir shops outside at the square and also great cafes and restaurants facing the front of the church facade. There are also free walking tours outside the square at certain time of the day.

Incredible panoramic view of Strasbourg
One of the best views of Strasbourg definitely belongs to Barrage Vauban with the standing three towers. The best view has to be from the air as always and the best route is above the dam opposite the towers right across.
Take the stairs up to the second level and you will be able to see the whole picture. You will be able to view Cathedral Norte Dame from here as well. Be aware that the stairs will closed at 9pm during spring and summer seasons. This area happens to be the best sunset viewing platform as well.

The Notre Dame Cathedral In Paris
#2023travelwish #paris #europe #cathedral #iconic #notredame
Another iconic monument here in Paris is the Notre Dame Cathedral located at 6 Parvis Notre-Dame - Pl. Jean-Paul II, 75004 Paris. I believe the cathedral is closed for sometime and will only be opened sometime in 2023/2024 period due to a fire which lasted more than 10 hours to fight which destroyed part of the church itself.
But nevertheless, I still think you should head down to the cathedral since its also centrally located in Paris where you will still be able to see some part of the structure of the church. Also, when the cathedral do open, head up to the top of the church to alsonhave a bird eye view of the city, but of course nothing beats the eiffel tower, the only difference is you have to pay at the eiffel tower haha!
If there is a chance again, my ideal vacation is a trip to Paris as it's been more than 5 years since I've been back there. It will be an ideal winter vacation for sure!
Notre-Dame Basilica
This majestic building will get your heart racing with its beauty. Comparable to the Notre-Dame in Paris, this church is one a must-see attraction in North America. The ticket is affordable and the line moves fast, even in Covid times. You can light up a candle or listen to the service. There is a small museum upstairs. The gift shop was closed when I visited in summer 2022.#montreal #canada #travelinspiration #famouschurches #notredame
The Cultural German and France influence
Ever heard of this place called Strasbourg, I'm as confused as it is where some say its German some say its France but for a fact this place is a city in France where it has some influence of the German architrave culture.
The Iconic place in strasbourg is the Notre Dame Catherdral located at 6 parvis notre dame, 75004 Paris where this is a medieval catholic cathedral dedicated to the Virgin mary. The cathedral itself looks marvelous, somewhat you see in the movies but sadly it isn't open due to some fire happened sometime again and it's in restoration. But still you are able to admire the building from the outside, especially the colourful glass tainted windows. Also the city of Strasbourg has many medieval buildings and its a sight to see.
Lastly, do not forget to visit L'atelier 116 located at 116 grand rule, 67000 strasbourg where they serve amazing breakfast, basically this is a artisans bakery and passtierie where its made and baked on site. Well, it's France isn't it, this is the motherland of all pastries!

巴黎
France, Paris 法国, 巴黎│ That night in 1st arrondissement 第一区的那个晚上
There is an evening that we spent at 1st arr., Paris. Walking along the Seine River and enjoying the fresh cool breeze, what a wonderful time. If you spend only one night in Paris, head to ‘Paris’ most beautiful avenue’ for an evening cruise along the Seine River. Depending on the season, the Seine banks are more or less lively, but it is always a beautiful experience.
During this Paris night cruise, you can see some of the main Paris tourist attractions, such as Notre Dame, Les Invalides, Pont Neuf and Conciergerie, this time beautifully illuminated. It is difficult not to be in love with Paris after a view like that!

Romantic Notre Dame Cathedral Tour Course
Notre Dame Cathedral, the masterpiece of French Gothic architecture that took 180 years to complete!! Notre Dame Cathedral has become a must-visit landmark in Paris for both tourists and French people, right? The fire at Notre Dame Cathedral in 2019 broke out, so I visited in 2018 and it was so disappointing that I already went there.ㅠ🥲 Even if it is restored now, I can't go to Paris due to the coronavirus pandemic, but when the skies open again and I go to Paris, I want to take a leisurely walk in front of Notre Dame Cathedral again☺️
📸Notre Dame Cathedral Photo Zone
Notre Dame is so large that it is much prettier to take pictures from the side like pictures 1 and 2 rather than the front like picture 3. Especially in front of Notre Dame, there are so many people that it's hard to take pictures with people from the front😅 Like in pictures 1 and 2, the side is not crowded and it's cute like a Lego toy, so it's good to take pictures with the cathedral in the background💚
📚Shakespeare Bookstore
There's another tourist attraction near Notre Dame Cathedral! If you cross the bridge where you can take pictures of the side of Notre Dame Cathedral and come down the river, you'll see it right away. I couldn't take pictures inside the Shakespeare Bookstore, so I couldn't record the inside, but there were so many people that I didn't think I could read the books. I tried to buy an eco bag, but it was sold out, so I couldn't buy it. ㅜㅜ But I decided to focus on the fact that I visited a bookstore with a long history. 😁
Notre Dame Cathedral - Shakespeare Bookstore - Seine River
Then I walked slowly along the Seine River, and I really liked this course, so I highly recommend it👍🏻

Enchanting Christmas Delight
#christmastrip
🎄 My recent visit to the Christmas market at Notre Dame was nothing short of enchanting. The festive atmosphere, adorned with twinkling lights and the aroma of seasonal treats, created a magical experience.
🏰 As I strolled through the market, the Notre Dame Cathedral provided a stunning backdrop to the festivities. The towering spires illuminated against the night sky added a touch of grandeur to the Christmas spirit.
🌅 Practical Tip: Arrive early to avoid the crowds and fully enjoy the picturesque surroundings. The market opens in late afternoon, offering a perfect blend of daylight and evening charm.
🎁 The various stalls boasted unique handmade crafts, perfect for finding distinctive gifts. The ambiance was lively with carolers and street performers, adding to the festive cheer.
☕ For an elevated experience, consider a riverside cafe for a warm drink while enjoying the view. The market's proximity to iconic landmarks makes it an ideal spot to soak in the holiday spirit.
🌟 Overall, the Christmas market at Notre Dame is a must-visit for its unique blend of festive joy and cultural richness.
