Blossom in Seoul, Korea 2025 (23-28 April 2025) 🥰😍 #southkorea #backpacker #travel #naturalwonders #trip Alhamdulillah, we met kind and helpful people in Korea. They were very helpful when we asked about train directions. There were also many halal food stores, even along the streets. Every place we visited was lively, and there were many types of cafe in Seoul especially in Seongsu. The hostel we booked in Dongdaemun was near the train station and a CU mart, which made it easier for us to visit nearby attractions. We used T-Money throughout the trip. We spent RM350 per person for accommodation, RM90 for transportation, RM850 for the return flight, RM35 for travel insurance, RM800 in cash, and RM35 for the K-ETA. The total was around RM2,510. The places we visited in Seoul included Iteawon, Seoul Central Mosque, Myeongdong Street, Dongdaemun Design Plaza, Gyeongbokgung Palace, Bukchon Hanok Village, Namsan Tower, Suwon, Seongsu, Nami Island, Namdaemun Market, and Hongdae. The restaurants we visited for lunch and dinner included Eid Restaurant in Itaewon, Busan Jib in Myeongdong, Iftar Restaurant near Gyeongbokgung Palace , Mari Meokja in Myeongdong, Asia Family Restaurant in Nami, Nusantaraku and Indonesian restaurant in Hongdae. A special moment from this trip was meeting my Korean friend, Jang. I’m glad he still remembered me. On the last day before we flew, we met for dinner, and he kindly drove us to the airport at 1:30 AM for our 6:30 AM flight. Thanks, Jang!🫰🏻🥰

#seoulattractions Gwangjang Market is one of South Korea’s oldest and largest traditional markets, easily accessible via Seoul’s subway—just hop off at Jongno 5-ga Station (Line 1). We visited the market in the evening, drawn by its vibrant street food scene that truly comes alive after dark. The bustling alleyways were lined with countless vendors offering an impressive variety of Korean street food. For the adventurous, the market also features live octopus and other bold local delicacies served at traditional eateries. For dinner, we stopped by Bakgane Yukhoe (박가네육회), a well-known spot within the market specializing in yukhoe—Korean-style beef tartare made from raw beef. While raw beef wasn’t to our taste, we opted for other dishes like gimbap, bibimbap, and a savoury seafood mung bean pancake—all of which exceeded our expectations. #korea #southkorea #seoul #market #streetfood

President Archives and Exhibition located in Sejong city features the history of South Korea's Presidency. It is located near the government complex and huge artificial lake. It is a great place to visit especially for those who are interested to learn history of South Korea's elections and facts about its past presidents. Interestingly it does not feature President Yoon yet. One thing to bear in mind though, it does not seem to be easily accesible by public transport. However, it is free to enter. #southkorea

This has to be one of the most healing experience. Located in Suncheon, Songgwangsa is accessible by KTX from Seoul and then a bus to the temple bus stop. The bus stop is some way to the templestay room. The cherry blossoms during early April is too precious to be missed. Sitting at the room balcony and listen to the sound of water stream is too rare for urbanlites. Pack light - for there isn't much that you'd need there. 3 meals, comfy beddings and a set of vest is provided. But a torch light will come in handy. The sight of the sea stretching beyond the living room window was healing in itself. Sipping coffee while listening to the gentle waves brought a sense of peace, making me feel as though I were staying in a coastal village in Europe. The interior design was equally stunning. The harmonious blend of white tones and wooden accents created a cozy atmosphere. There was even a space by the window where you could read a book or listen to music quietly, perfect for spending some alone time. The thoughtful details in the decor reflected the warm sensibility of the host, making each day feel slow and serene. One of the biggest advantages is that it’s only about an hour and a half away from Seoul. Without traveling abroad, you can enjoy unfamiliar scenery and a unique ambiance right here. Whether you’re looking to take a break from your busy routine or create special memories with someone dear, I wholeheartedly recommend this charming accommodation. It was a precious time where I truly felt rested after a long while.

This beloved spot attracts both locals and tourists, offering a wonderful selection of treats, including their famous apple pie, scones, and signature egg tart. The cafe is beautifully designed, featuring bright interiors adorned with vibrant flowers that create a cozy atmosphere. It’s clear that the owner has a fondness for cats, as adorable cat figurines can be spotted throughout. The design incorporates plenty of greenery, with the standout feature being the magnificent persimmon tree at its center. Unique mug-shaped chairs add an interesting touch to the decor, and there’s a private room available for gatherings, surrounded by the inviting common areas. Then the modern temple was established in 1910 and was originally located at a different location. At this time, the temple was known as Gakhwangsa. It was then finally moved to this location in 1937. This temple is one of the most important Buddhist temples in South Korea, we saw people praying at the temple and also just sitting down to bask in the atmosphere. I loved the display of the colorful lotus lanterns around the temple. It usually lights up at night too! There is also the 500-year old Lacebark Pine Tree which features a distinctive and beautiful brown bark. These types of trees grow and reproduce slowly making them very rare and important to the history of Korea.
